Best Airgun ?

So I want to hunt, and target shoot, I have property and shoot everyday. Want something reliable, and rigid. .30 with a good range to it, I hunt anything up to bigger coyotes. Out to ranges of 125 sometimes 150+ yards. So main points are reliability , not single shot, rigid, capable of good accuracy at long distances.
Going with a 30 for hunting up to coyotes I think you will be pleased with your original idea. I have a Vulcan 3 700 mm in .30 cal. I bought it used and it came with a stiffer spring and cranked up reg. It shot 62 grain avs slugs at 1000 fps. I have tuned it down. Stock spring, 150 bar reg, lower power plenum set up and it is super accurate with jsb 44.75 at 900 fps. The gun is very accurate and extremely versatile in how it can be set up. From an utter power house to just an average powered pellet shooter.

My experience:

My Vulcan 3 700 mm .30 Cal is extremely accurate with pellets but not so accurate with the slugs I have available (NSA 43.8 grain). For sure my rifle has the AP barrel beacuse it is of the very first on the market.

My Vulcan 3 500 mm .177 Cal is extremely accurate with both pellets and the slugs I have available (NSA 12.5 grain).

Is good to know than now all AGT rifles come now with the CZ barrel.
You need .306 diameter slugs in the Vulcan 3 thirty cal. AVS makes them.

So I’m looking into getting another gun, I have a challenger pro in 25 but it’s just not as accurate as I’d like. The cheap barrels they put on these things just can’t keep up.

I really have my eyes on the v3 (vulcan 3) but I wanted to put it out there before I ordered. For the same price range ( sub 1600 usd ), what else should I be considering ?

Let’s hear it!
I was interested in the Challenger rifles. I have seen others mention that they need to be tuned down for better accuracy. I was curious if you did that and still have accuracy issues. If so, at least I know to look for other options. My Benjamin Akela and Hatsan Flash QE have been insanely accurate for me. I'm always on the lookout for something else.

I tuned the poop out of that gun, 750fps up to 1k. Accurate for a day, sneeze on the barrel POI shift.

What's ridiculous is all these "best or vs" threads that constantly pop up on here. Hence my "ridiculous" comment.

It was satire, a joke, an exaggeration...

Why you may ask? Because anyone planning on a 125 yard shot on a coyote with a friggin air rifle is just asking to get flamed BUT most of the guys on here are very nice and didn't flat out say it's UNETHICAL. 30 cal or not, 50 cal or not, it's too far of a shot in my opinion and probably most of us on here.

Can it be done? Sure. If the coyote isn't moving and no wind... and you're friggin Davey Crockett. On larger game like a yote or small deer, you wanna limit your range like you would a crossbow. I wouldn't push a 30 cal air rifle past 75 yards for a coyote. Some of these guys get pretty big and they are very fast and have superb reflexes and vision/hearing. They sit still less than a squirrel during rut.

If you can't get into an ethical range to hunt the game you are after, get better at stalking or covering your scent, or do the right thing and use the proper tool for the job.
75 0ut to 200 yards i have see Airforce Texans drop coyote's with a 257. I have a stock 257 and at 180 yards i have shot woodchucks with clean pass thru. I also have a AEA 357 challenger big bore, 125 gr at 200 yards it takes .6 sec to travel, still has 200fpe more than enough power to put down a coyote, but i wouldn't try a moving target at that range. So it can be done.

Hunting up to coyotes at 125 ish yards is the most. I shoot everyday so want something reliable . Preferably .30
Airguns of Arizona has at least four Evol Paradigms in stock. I just bought a .30 from them, so not sure what caliber are the four they currently have left in stock. I too have coyotes in mind, though not at 125ish. more like 50-75 max.

If tuning an FX is a concern, the Daisy Red Ryder may be a good choice.

Come on man ! Don't you realize it's easier to remove the stock to adjust the hammer spring like on the V3 than having the micro and macro adjustments at your fingertips like on a FX Maverick . Lol

Pressure and HS adjustment can overwhelm some. That's 2 things . And you don't need remove your stock .
