I just purchased 2 Hatsan Hercules in .22cal. I expected they would have slug barrels. I tried nsa , huben, HN rabbit and they all hit target in large mess. the same slugs are excellent in my Hatsan 44 models and okay in the flash. I found the HN barracuda magnum plated pellets are good. any suggestions?

Mine always liked the H&N pellets. Try the barracuda power or any of the H&N barracuda line.
As fare as slugs what size did you try? A choked barrel will need a small size like .216 or .2165

I did notice the baracuda power 21gr pellets fit most snug in the magazine of anything else that I tried. probably won't waste more time testing other stuff when they worked good for you also. and they are cheaper than slugs. my 125 and 135 break barrels do super with them and lots of tins on hand already.
