Looking for the best ballistic app for air gunning. What is everyone using and enjoying?
Thanks for the suggest. I looked it up on Google play store and only thing that came up was (Geo ballistic.) any suggestions on where else to look?Big Strelok pro fan here. Very nice app,if you can fine it. There are others and forum members will chime in.
Welllllll.... I just went to Strelok page and apparently he has been Sanctioned by the US and has no access to Google services!!!!!Thanks for the suggest. I looked it up on Google play store and only thing that came up was (Geo ballistic.) any suggestions on where else to look?
You can find it in the Samsung galaxy store if you can use that. Or probably in other app storesThanks for the suggest. I looked it up on Google play store and only thing that came up was (Geo ballistic.) any suggestions on where else to look?
Yes, that is exactly what it is! I looked on his site and it said they are being sanctioned by the US having something to do with the war in Ukraine!I wonder why, I just opened the site again and it is there. Maybe you are restricted by area.

gee that helped...that should keep any air gunners from supporting the RussiansYes, the developer & his products are sanctioned by the US government due to his business dealings with the Russian government, specifically aiding their invasion of Ukraine. Some countries adopt the sanctions themselves, some don’t.

I use both Chairgun Elite and Element Ballistics. If you want just basic data, the Element is probably the easiest to use because it doesn’t require a bunch of data points you probably won’t want to input and at the end of the day, if used correctly the end results will be the same.
Chairgun has a bazillion reticles if you are a reticle nerd. In the Element app, I use a reticle very similar to the one in my Athlon scope.
The absolute most important data point you will need regardless of which app you use is the TRUE ballistic coefficient and this can only be determined with your gun and ammo and a free standing (non FX pocket) chrony.
The ballistic coefficient or BC is one of the most overlooked and poorly acquired data point when folks use a ballistic app. The BC for lack of a better term, is an efficiency value determined by not only the gun, but the ammo you are using, the speed at which you are shooting and even the twist rate of the barrel. You can get close (but not very) by researching the ammo on line. It just depends on how accurate you want to be.
So I looked at the element app and it only goes up to .30 cal. I am needing if big bore. Is there a way to get the higher caliber?Element Ballistics Optic’s app. You don’t need an element scope to use. It’s excellent! ($0)![]()
