I bought this Y/H? for $150 delivered on ebay,(i made a offer and it was excepted) its filled/topped off my large 106cu/ft bottle so many times in the last year I've lost count. Just finished refilling today. It takes about 20 minutes to top off from 250 bar to 320 bar. It is a 220v unit i had to change the plug on. You might notice the high pressure head is different than the other Y/H units. It says its rated for 5000psi but i will never find out as 4500 is great for me.

There is a lot of knock offs and I am not saying anything bad about the one you have, but that is not a Yong Heng it appears to be one of the knock offs. As long as you do not start the compressor under load and swap the oil regularly you will avoid most of the issues that hunt these little machines.

The little cheap compressors all seem to have the same basic two stage design, and probably could interchange parts. If it works, IT WORKS! I just picked a YH as well, standard design, and it does work. Very happy with the little beast.

salt lake...yes not to mention the cost for fills and gas to drive there and time, as far as i'm concerned mine has paid for its self already.

That's not the original yong Heng. It's a tuxing. A clone/copy. But they do work. Just the yong Heng is built better.

From my research it looks like Yong Heng and Tuxing use a durable 4 ring high pressure piston and the Vevor uses a single plastic cone on top for a high pressure piston. The Vevor melts and distorts at the mounting screw and is the main focus of all the " can't find high pressure rings" threads.
I think I'm going to try to hold out by hand pumping until the Xisco with the gear reduction comes out. I hope Summer release of the Xisco is before November.

Your analysis is exactly correct. Vevor design for the second stage piston is inferior. (9 rebuilds =experience) At least the Y. H. & Tuxing have parts readily available & are pretty easy to work on. My opinion is that keeping temp down is the critical factor, along with everything else already mentioned
