What would be a good gun for pigeon/starling removal in barns/sheds? I'm assuming not a ton of juice is needed, correct? Don't want to tear up the roof if you miss. Thankssssssssss

In general I would want a larger caliber PCP tuned to a relatively low power. Smaller calibers penetrate further which would make them harder on the tin roofs. Trajectory on a ~20 fpe 25 caliber might be a bit tricky but it would probably kill just as well as a Prod or Notos but at lower risk of penetrating the roof. A P35-25 tuned to shoot H&N FTT 20 grain pellets, for instance. Or a Stoeger bullshark in 25 caliber. Both are light and tuned down they should give you close to 100 shots per fill.

Lots of PCPs can nicely fill the role of an indoor barn pester…. But @pesty3782 is correct, I am partial to my Atomics as they have performed nicely for me indoors and outside… Tomorrow night I’ll be in a 40 yards long hoop house bagging rats from 15 to 35 yards with mine… The following all indoor kills, TP on low…Luis will be here to school you soon with the BRK Atomic/ Pathfinder

Great options so far. I’d like to tune down a Katran C 22 cal for that task. When going loopy with low power shots I’d like a scope I can get close to the barrel. A little 32mm scope.

I would suggest a .25cal. Huben GK1 pistol with an added carbine stock. The power can be easily adjusted up or down and it is deadly accurate up to 50yrds.

I played with a fpe calculator and I think a ~20 fpe 25 caliber is pretty doable. You could push 25 grain up to about 600 fps and if your gun happened to like 20 grain FTTs you could go almost to 700 fps. Those are not high velocities but are in the same range as the stock tune on my old Prod. Inside 30 yards I think it would work great. Nice big pop on the pigeon but less chance of penetrating the roof. Getting an inexpensive 25 caliber to 50 fpe can be a challenge but tuning it down to 20 fpe should be easy. It would be quieter and use less air. Should be fun to shoot.

I'm currently making a low power 25 for close range and indoor pest work. Hoping for an accurate shooter at 550 fps with 25 grain pellets.
