Best bipod yokes for skinny fore end and large bottle

First off, there are no monthly FT events within hundreds of miles of me, but I wanted to give the seated / bipod method a try anyway. I have a dozen of the Crosman steel squirrel targets that are close enough to simulate the FT targets with a resetting kill zone, though the entire target doesn't fall down. I normally shoot standing with no support, off an attached bipod, standing with a tripod or from a bench, so I have no experience with non attached bipods. I already have a really nice, lightweight, thin legged carbon fiber tripod that has one removable leg to turn it into a bipod, so all I need is the V shaped yoke with a standard 1/4-20 threaded bottom to go on top of my tripod head.

I will be shooting 3 different guns and would like a V yoke that might fit all three, but I don't mind buying three different ones if needed.

Gun 1 - An old Diana 54 with the fairly fat wood fore end.

Gun 2 - A Crosman Marauder Pistol / Prod with the factory fore end and buttstock.

Gun 3 - A Hatsan Factor RC - This rifle has an extremely small picatinny rail just behind the bottle and only the fairly fat 580cc bottle out front so a wide yoke would be needed.

So far I have found these models all of which might work well, but thought I might ask those with some experience as to which model would work the best with each of the three guns above. I am pretty sure all of these have a threaded bottom that will fit a 1/4-20 head screw.

  • Hammers V Yoke $17 (multiple curves and small grooves)
  • Hammers Precision V Yoke (straight V no curves shallow wide grooves)
  • MB Machine V Yoke two styles $12
  • Quick Stick Huntrpo $15
  • Tourbon M6 $10 with 1/4 20 adapter
  • Stoney Point V-Yoke $10
  • Ultrec V-Bracket $8
In case I end up going to a match down in Arizona or maybe setting one up locally this fall, how thick from front to back can the yoke on top of the bipod be? There is no mention of that on www.aafta.org but onwww.extremebenchrest.com, it says 2" max.

Unattached bipod? Not sure exactly what you're looking for.

The bipod cannot be attached to the rifle, per FT rules.

I’ve used a BogPod for years. Traditional forestock rifles, bottle rifles, the BP has worked great.
This model has the capability to swap out the standard yoke for the wide body if you are so inclined.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't really need the bipod legs, already have that, but for not much more than the V-Yoke you can get the legs as well. I may get one of those and a $10 yoke for my bipod / tripod, so two people can shoot at the same time.

I like the Primos gear but everything I currently have is 1/4-20 tripod connecting screws and want to be able to switch between them. The Gen 3 Primos V-Yokes only fit Gen 3 Primos sticks, bipods and monopods. I ended up getting a Bog Havoc bipod for $10 more than just a bare yoke. The yoke unscrews from the bipod and fits on my carbon fiber tripod as well, so it will serve double duty. The shape of the yoke fits all my airguns well with no side to side play.
