What are your favorite bugs to shoot? Mine? Has to be the lovely cicadas I got in West Virginia. Yours? Are they feared? Large or small? Dangerous or just gross?

Eastern Lubber

I get these in my yard every year...hundreds ..their huge (3in) and eat all the leaves off most plants. They are poisonous to eat and have no known predators. Even the ants wont touch them if you kill them and put them on the ant hill. I usually grab them with my hand and bounce them off a pine tree like a major league pitcher. I have shot a few just for fun. When they are baby's they are black with a yellow stripe and most susceptible to spraying with insecticide.

Skeet-moths!

But you need a "Bug-a-Salt" shotgun to have a decent chance.

Those bug-a-salt guns, suck, we bought a couple of the “ high power “ ones and you have to be within three inches of a fly to even mess its wings up so it can’t fly. Forget about and thing bigger “ tougher “ then a fly.

Hate ticks, but I’ve got no way to lure them in. I had a old friend from high school get misdiagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease, for two years, and they finally got it right(the Dr’s) and said it was Lyme Disease. By then it was too late. He lived for another 5 years before everything shut down. Talk about a horrific way to end up, before passing away.

Yeah, I hate ticks.
