Best Camo Design...Vote

Okay guys, hopefully another fun one.

I don’t see as much discussion on the threads about Camo as I do on powder burning threads. That said, there are a lot of hunters here and many aesthetically gifted individuals. So, here is the debate and you can cast your vote.

What is the best camo you have ever seen? The government spends billions on Camo design for a reason, so my go to would be the digital pattern developed by the army that uses pixels and randomly generates patterns so as to break up lines the best.

That being said, my aesthetic choice goes to Realtree.

What patterns do you like? Submit a picture of your pattern, especially if you have it on your rifle.

I sold this gun to a member here but I loved the blue camo...just looked cool. Some don’t like manufacturer’s names carved in the stock, others don’t like to see decals on guns. I say to each his own, I love seeing customization!

Dang that is sweet. I was tempted to do a Mosey Oak White Snow/tree pattern just for the cool pattern’s sake and not for camouflage. That blue is really neat though

My neighbor did this one for me and another one for Centercut that was super cool. He had just started hydro dipping stocks so it was cheap, like $80. We should see some cool stuff in this thread!

Well you guys got a great deal from the sound of it. I’ve never done the hydro route. I’ve don’t paint and wraps and tape, but out of those I like the wrap the most since the vinyl comes out nicely. My issue with paint is that it is so time intensive. I worked as a painter for a bit on an industrial crew, and know my way around paining pretty much anything. But to do it right you have multiple days of spraying and drying with light coats. I see a lot of guys just spraying the heck out of their stocks or entire gun, and I always think man that is cavalier’!

I'm not an operator or a sniper. However, I know a bit of history on this. Simply put, the UCP (Universal Camouflage Pattern) is a terrible camouflage. It lasted 14 years and had a LOT of criticism and controversy. There's a reason the Army began switching to OCP (Operational Camouflage Pattern) 11 years through the life of this latest and greatest camo. There's a good amount of material on this if you're interested in the topic. This guy does a pretty good job on it:

My vote goes to multicam, only hindrances seem to be snowy and tropic environments, I almost got my impact in this pattern but decided to keep her all black.

For actual hunting, ASAT is one of the best that's ever been. It may not look good like new trendy "sticks and leaves" camo, but it works excellent almost anywhere. I have a 3d leafy suit in ASAT that I use to hunt deer on the ground with a longbow. The stuff has always impressed me.

Check out this picture. ASAT camo shirt, and "regular" camo pants:

And maybe it's good enough to hide my ugly mug 😁

100% agree with Thumper! thanks thumper for posting. i am a firm believer that the larger the pattern the better. and keep it simple.
