Best Compressor under $2,000

Just did something similar with your water filter idea, but im not using another compressor upstream for my E-5K1. It's not needed as it pulls enough vacuum. I didn't see a drop of water when purging 👍. Rigged something up temporarily until my warranty expires, then I will punch out the back and mount the filter on the other side. Intake is on the rear of the head, so a straight nipple and a few 90° will be the permanent install. Intake on the water filter comes through the bottom with a 3" brass nipple and stainless steel screen.

Very interested in this setup as I'm wanting to mimic this for a CS4 but not pre-compress the air like @BlackICE did since I'm wanting something that can be mobile and run on a 12V battery when needed. Do you have details on how you used the water filter? Also, are you running any filters on the high pressure side like a molecular sieve filter?

Just looked up the water filter and found the one you used and see how you made it work. That's clever! Still curious if you are running in filters on the output side though.
Still running a post filter, Hill to be exact for the extra insurance. For that water filter, not sure if you noticed, I have the intake on the bottom of the bowl. This way, the air is forced all the way through the media. Also using an inline 40 Micron filter on the output side of the filter what looks like a check valve. Setup works very well.

It was hard to see but I saw the valve handle underneath and assumed that's what you had done. Did you just get a plug for the other side of the filter housing? As for the post filter, is it the Hill Dry-Pac Pro specifically?
