Best Compressor under $2,000

I just filled my 9L from 3000 to 4500 in 20 min increments and it took 80 min, so almost an hour anya half.
Why not run it non-stop for the 80 mins. ? The CS4 is specs. say you can run it for 5 hours. Since it turns off automatically, what's the problem with set and forget, do something else while it filling, like using one of your other tanks.

If you pre-dry your air going into the CS4 the purge valve is always dry! Your can run without purging for 5 hours! I just added a post CS4 filter/dryer too.

Water is removed in up to 4 places.
1. Compressor 1, tank,
2. Large dryer
3. CS4 purge system. (never seen water yet)
4. CS4 output filter.

I think it will be dry enough!
I don't see the need or expense for a real quality compressor as long was the CS4 holds up long enough to be a good value. I can't shoot fast enough to outrun this compressor system.

Am I seeing the right, your pumping compressed air into your CS4 after running it thru a dryer?

portable,,, gas engine, spend a little more and be happy for long time

Yes it's kind of wasting a lot of energy pumping the air up to over 125 psi in the first compressor going through the drying filter and then re regulated down to 3 PSI feeding into the cs4. But it does remove a lot of water in the process.

Mannnn, that looks like a nice set up! I am definitely not engineeringly inclined enough to put something like that together!!🤣

I have been using that same setup since air compressed to 120-130 psi
has lost approximately 90% of the water content. Makes life easier
for the high pressure unit and any moisture filters.

Just did something similar with your water filter idea, but im not using another compressor upstream for my E-5K1. It's not needed as it pulls enough vacuum. I didn't see a drop of water when purging 👍. Rigged something up temporarily until my warranty expires, then I will punch out the back and mount the filter on the other side. Intake is on the rear of the head, so a straight nipple and a few 90° will be the permanent install. Intake on the water filter comes through the bottom with a 3" brass nipple and stainless steel screen.

Carette compressors are not made buy or designed like a Tuxing. There is nothing similar other than they are both air compressors. IMO, the Carette is a more reliable air cooled design. The Carette factory sells higher quality compressors than Tuxing. I have experience and knowledge of both brands. If I had a $2K budget limit I'd buy a Carette II hands down over any Tuxing regardless of the price difference. The buyer will have to decide which brand and distributor/dealer will give the best product support and service. Self servicing a compressor isn't too difficult if the owner has mechanical skills and a willingness to learn how to do basic repairs.
