Best demo dealer / range

i am very new to the air gun community and looking for some insight. I have been and avid shooter and hunter my entire life and have been reciently introduced to the idea of airgunning. There is alot of great reviews and information on the internet on the sport, but i am looking for a place to demo (touch, feel, shoot) alot of different guns. I live in the atlanta georgia area and from what i can tell there are not alot of options to demo and shoot a wide range of guns.



So the question of the comunity is “where is the best place in the country to demo and learn about the sport”?



i happen to travel for business and have an almost unlimited number of points to travel to this airgun utopia.... any suggestions?

You might look up Georgia Air guns for a start, he's at least in your home state. Charlie the owner has a solid reputation. I'd also look into visiting a Field target competition-typically there are lots of friendly shooters willing to answer questions and possibly let you try their equipment. I think Utah Air guns has a range and Air guns of Arizona might have one as well. What type of shooting interests you?

On the positive side they are relatively cheap to shoot, but are expensive to own.

AOA has a HUGE selection of airguns , including an ever changing used selection. They also have 3 ranges and ... from what I've seen ... encourage test firing. 

I understand that Utah Airguns has a nice facility but mostly handle FX. I've not been there though.

I also have a somewhat large collection and share shooting time with about anyone who is interested but I live in a somewhat rural area of Az north of Phoenix .

We also camp in the high elevation forest about 25 miles east of Flagstaff for our summer matches which occur on the 3rd Saturday of every month. Several people bring lots of shooting implements of all kinds to plink with before and after the match, so that's a great opportunity as well. Greg or Larry from AOA often bring new or interesting rifles for us to try, also.

We certainly welcome anyone to join us.

Welcome on board. I’m a fellow Georgian too. Marietta area. I have a couple guns you could try. 

As stated above, Charlie is a great guy and you would do just fine picking up one or more of his guns. However, he doesn’t have a huge range of guns. But, the ones he has are pretty BA. 

If I had the luxury of traveling often & to many places, Airguns of Arizona & Utah Airguns is probably where you will find what you are looking for.
