FX Best FX Ever Made...According to MongooseV8

I thought I would share some pics of my accidental purchase of this FX Wildcat Compact Tube with Laminate stock. I had posted a WTB ad for a wood or laminate stock Wildcat and @RM100GUY suggested I take a look at Mundilar out of Portugal. While I was trying to figure out how much the total cost would be, the "Review Order" button completed my order before giving me a total whoopsie.

This Wildcat is a 177Cal, and I intend to use this mostly for pesting with a little mixed use for EFT HFT. It has a few minor upgrades so far:

EPL4 Arken 4-16x44mm MIL
UTG Accu-Sync Cantilever Mount
FX CF Liner Sleeve
Huma High Flow Transfer-Port
Huma High Flow Pellet Probe
Digital Reg Gauge
Maverick style Plenum
Black Arts Design Barrel Band
Hugget Belita
Drilled Stock for Sling Swivel Stud

With the bipod it weighs ~9.45lbs and without is ~8.5lbs, balance is pretty great and the ergos are top tier. I will be updating soon with accuracy and shot string. For @Vetmx the current tune with JSB KO MK3 slugs creates 21.6fpe aka 29.28528 Newton Meters, making it Blimey Chuffed squirrel Lurgy Innit Bruv. (980fps)

I had to run to the shop real quick because I forgot my phone. Made 43fpe on my way there but cranked it up to 90fpe on my way home. Glad I grabbed it and saw your gun. I always loved wood Wildcats. Never bought one but I will when the right one pops up for sale. If your gun shoots half as good as it looks, you’ll be in business.

I bought a plastic stock, Wildcat (.22) years back, shortly after they came to the market.

Then a short while back, I saw that the Utah guys had modified some old MkI and or II stocks to fit the MkIII, and sold them as finished MkIII guns. Just because of the good looking black laminate stock, I bought one, a second .22 !
A great looking gun.

Looks sweet!! How much damage did it do TYD (if you don’t mind sharing)? They have Uragan 3 in stock but I don’t wanna have a similar “accident” ;)
I think it was about 1485 total. But Im still not sure how VAT duties work, I read all kinds of different explanations. It was sent to US Customs and cleared quickly and got to my house in California in like 3-4 days, so I assume thats it. It looks like they do regular coupons so I might have been able to save even more.

But for just a few dollars more than a standard Wildcat from any of our favorite US retailers I got the excellent laminate stock. I wanted something a little more sturdy than the foam plastic you get in the regular Wildcat so I could securely mount a bipod.

Thanks!! That’s not bad!! Maybe have to give it a shot as well… seems like only compact and 700mm U3 in stock at the moment though. Ah well, let me take a look at your laminate Wildcat again :)

.177 generally will not have enough FPE at the farther distances to knock down some EFT targets - some matches may not allow slugs.
awesome gun!

Yeah I was planning to use HN Barracudas at 19fpe. I just made the assumption slugs were not an option. If I dont get all the targets that is ok, my main use for this rifle will be California ground squirrels and Norwegian Tree Rats. My EFT endeavors are just for fun, and some offhand practice. Thanks for the insight, I am looking forward to my first match.

ETA: I meant HFT not EFT so limited to 20fpe.

@Rob_in_NC I have one of those limited Huggets too and I kinda wish I had ordered more of them when they were still in stock. I did get the regular version Belita seen above for $70 on sale.
Picked up another one at the Hickory show this past year for cheap to put on this beauty...
