Airforce Best mold for Texan .457

Sorry I can't help you on the mould, but Dale from varmit knockers makes some knurled slugs @ 301 grain with a deep hollowpoint. They shoot well in my texan. I shoot slugs that are .458 in mine. Pic of 3 shot group at 35 yards. Not real far but best I've got.

What kind of groups are you getting with the nsa? What distances?

I.m shooting a 280 to 285gr slug from my Texan from a NOE 460-315-RF-AV3 2 cavity mold with 3 sets of pins deep hollowpoint I get 280 to 288gr the small pin makes a shallow cup 290-300gr flat pin 300gr up depending on the lead mix, I generally 2lbs pure 1lb wheel weights. I size mine .457-458, I have tried 454 up to 458 just to see what they'd do. here's some of my boolits.

This is a great start, plus affordable:

I use this mold in my .457 Texan and at least out to 50 yards, it competes well with premium slugs. Past that, they fall a little short, but for S&G's, and just to get trigger time cheap, slugs out of that mold are just fine.
