Best of Both Worlds

After months of reading several posts and responses concerning “which gun is better or which do you prefer between ‘gun a’ and ‘gun b’ (most recently an EDgun R5M or a Taipan Veteran)?” I began to think. When examining the positive elements of the guns in these discussions my mind started drifting and I wondered, what if we could take the most favorable elements from two great air rifles and combine them into a fantasy hybrid air gun? Imagine an R5M with a Taipan trigger, smooth ambidextrous forward cocking levers, a crazy quiet shroud, and more svelte finish. That sounds like the ultimate bullpup, but it’s only one example.

Which combinations or manufacturer collaborations would you like to see in the airgun world? How about an LCS/RTI coloab? Or AGT/Zbroia hybrid? Any FX/Daystate combos? Any fantasy air pistol collaborations? Which models and elements would you combine? Ideally how would your imagined hybrid air gun look, feel, and perform? Sky is the limit here. What are your thoughts?

I would like to see other companies use the huben valves. One example would be daystate creating a non electric benchrest rifle to complement their redwolf. The greatest benefit of the huben valve is it would eliminate any cocking force needed to compress a hammer spring. The redwolf achieves this by using a solenoid as a hammer, no spring needed (Ezana you know this, I’m saying it for anyone who doesn’t). Add a trigger that’s as good as the taipan and you’ve got one hell of a shooter.

An LCS that uses the impacts high capacity mags, can be accessorized with saber tactical and K&L parts just like the impact, but weighs as light as a wildcat or a crown?

How about an FX Royal, regulated and uses high capacity mags?

high capacity mag Boss? With a tensioned barrel?

That shaker speed loader deal(can’t remember name)- how about one that shakes for head size sorting?

How about all rotary mags in 25 and 30 cal be designed to easily fit the predator polymags in length?

how about an anti double feed system be incorporated in all PCP’s?

Pellets- how about they bring back the 30 cal Vortex Supremes? Or H&N make a 30 cal barracuda hunter extreme or even a 45 grain 30 cal Diablo? We need more variety in the 30 cal pellets for sure

My FX Royal 400 22 cal I got from AOA in March of 2020 is regulated and has a 14 shot magazine. Not real hi capacity but not bad. Love the smooth twist barrel. Never needs cleaning. Over 100 shots withe a 580cc bottle at 910fps and 18.1 gn JSB pellet.

I'd like to see Thomas Air make a Biathlon rifle pcp with the same type of straight pull action that my Anschutz 1827F has using stick mags like in this same rifle and made for his proprietary 22 cal slugs at about 100 fpe. Hint, Hint, LOL.

I've already suggested this to him but he's too busy as is and wants to invest his energies into BR platform development which is cool and been a successful venture. But I can always dream, right??!!

I know everyone’s dreaming about the high end guns, but I’m still playing in the lower range. I’d like to see Kral incorporate a functional shroud, the marauders shroud would do the trick. Maybe a monster airtube from the AEA guns. These guns are all in the same ballpark price wise so it shouldn’t raise the price to much. The ultimate midrange pcp.
