Best pcp under $500

cayden is good but needs a 150$ silencer to .. lots of choices ...i'll tell ya, the way things are with pellets and everything else a gun im downright impressed with is the stormrider 177 .. lot of gun for the money imo .. even with a cheap scope and premeirs itl pop 1" targets at 50 all day long zingin um out at 1000 ... doesnt need much air either ..

Take a look at Dar air rifles. 3000 psi fill. The .22 and .25 $300. The .177 $269 and extra mags (great mags) are $20 bucks. Not much action here on them but the guys on Gta love them. You would have $200 bucks to scope it. Love my .177.

I say Benjamin Cayden. Great gun, and fills to 3,000 psi as you want. 5 year warranty doesn't hurt either.

I got mine earlier this year when Crosman still had the AGNATION discount code active and it was $463 to my door. I've heard that you can call them when ordering and get a discount code for that specific purchase. Wouldn't hurt to say that you heard that on this forum. I've never tried it yet, so YMMV.

I agree or maybe it's cousin a Kral Mega (there are different ones to choose from). I have two Krals (super jumbo and knight) and hard to beat in the $500 to $1,000 range and the new craftmans series from Benjamin is for sure one to look at in the 4 to 500 range

If your buddy is ready to act right now and will accept a .25 cal, AOA has a 95% condition used, wood stocked Marauder in their pre-owned section for $399 (+ ship):

AOA Used Marauder

I've gotten loads of great used guns from AOA. And maybe only 1 or 2 which didn't meet my expectations when I received them. And AOA took those back for a refund, or refundable credit, without hassle.

I’m happy with my Umarex Origin, Does great with CPDM’s & it comes with a hand pump. I’ve done a little bit of work on it but not much. I just got it back to today, I drilled the barrel port, turned the valve stem down, turned the probe down & replaced the valve spring with a tab bit lighter spring. I’m gonna shoot it over the chrony tomorrow & get a full shot string. Shot these group right after I got it back together. Slight right to left wind.

Stay away from anything GAMO!!

The Gamo Urban is actually a BSA gun

I agree, the Urban was my first and it was so solidly accurate that I couldn’t believe it. Kills out to “range finder measured” 80 yards. I moved on but the Urban gives up nothing in practical field accuracy to my two Brococks. The Urban is a BSA PCP, easily pump able and solid.
