Best pellet for Red Wolf , long range

Hi all

I was out with my Red Wolf yesterday shooting some groups, I have Piledrivers 30 grain , JSB 25 Grain and JSB 34's . The and was full value from the right at 3-5 mph . The groups were shocking . Could hardly get two pellets on a shoot and see at 80 yards ., I moved to 50 yards and they seemed better , when the wind died I moved to 100 yards to see the accuracy , the wind was about 1-3 mph . Sadly the groups were still all over the shop . The best was the 25 grain JSB's s I stuck with them . I was thinking the 34's would buck the wind better but the accuracy was shocking from them . My question is , what pellets do you guys use for longer distance , Am I missing something ? The gun is running at 51 ft /lb with the 34's so one would have thought that with that weight the would not move a bunch , I know slugs would make things better but we dont have them here in the UK just yet plus I am not sure they would work in my barrel ? I have seen these guns shoot amazing groups and out to 100 yards , I guess I must be missing something ?? I shoot loads of HFT in England at 12 ft/lb and achieve tiny tiny groups at 50 yards and expect this to do the same , Sadly its not at the moment .

What am I missing pleaser ??

I dont own one, but have heard the high power model really likes the 25.4 monsters.

I have the RedWolf HP in 25 caliber I find the 34 grain JSB mark ll work best for me at 910fps.at 100 yards I’ve shot groups as small as quarter size when the wind was steady. I get the best groups with pellets that I sort by weight and I use a sizer. I use the Robb adjustable sizer which allows me to make them all the same with the skirt slightly larger than the diameter of the head.

Little confused here. I thought you were limited to 12 and you are talking 51ft lbs

Hi there , I have a Fire Arms cert over here in the UK so its not a worry . I can have any power Airgun I wish . This one is just not playing ball is all , Spray!Mark , No , I did not see your one there that day boss , That's the day I picked mine up as it goes . I cant et my head around the groups and why they are all over the place ? Driving me mad . I ned to do some testing indoors I am guessing . As said , the best so far are the 25. grain Monsters , they still take a bunch of wind mind ! Grrrrr !!!

I can hit clay pigeons at 140 yards with the Redesigned 25.39 with a BT65 running 900 fps on a regulator that is the farthest I have tried them , I'm in North Yorkshire were are you based ? Do you need to break the barrel in ( condition it ) to get them to settle in first , I got some from Krale in Holland and Intershoot in Ireland both sources were expensive . I have a new tin of 33grns unused to large for the breech on the Hatsan if you want them .

Roger have you got the 25 redesigns or the old version 25's? I gave some to TB for testing that day as they couldn't get hold of any.

Will be heading down to see Richard at the tunnel for some 100 yard indoors with the .25 & .30 cal if you fancy it?

No , I dont have the Re designed 25 grain JSB pellets . I have the normal ones ( old ) . I have looked into this and am told the new ones are better . I best order some today . I am off to the IWA as a guest of JSB so maybe I can talk to them and get them to bring some along for me . I need to try everything for sure . Ned to get this bad boy working ASAP

I am based In the UK in Essex so have a bunch of good shops for pellets , thank you so much for your kind offer buddy . I am seeing JSB soon so will tap them up , Also I want to be grabbing some slugs from the IWA as I need to try them big time !!! It seems that everyone is going that way ??
