Other best poor mans pcp

Newbie here first post I have owned a few airguns over my time in this sport started when I was 8 with a red rider and now have a few pcp's A few pumpers and co2 guns my pride and joy is my diana stormrider with reshaped wood stock its been ported like crazy and dose every thing I want or need it to do. But my question is what's everyone's favorite cheap gun's pcp or other wise and I don't mean A 500 dollar one I mean one under 275 range give or take I ask because everyone I talk to always tells me im crazy because I sold my fx m3 to buy my stormrider and a few other low cost guns and found out I love them more than I ever loved my fx would like to see if enyone else is like me and just prefers to shoot and tinker with low cost guns.

Just posted almost the same answer in another thread. But to summarize for you:

Umarex Notos
Gamo Urban/Coyote
Stoeger XM1 Scout

If I had to make the choice today and didnt have anything else to shoot, I would pick the Stoeger XM1 Scout in 22Cal. Code EARLY at PA right now has the Scout for $280 free shipping, add local tax.

MongooseV8 thanks for the answer. I would like to know what is your shot count on your 22 scout been thinking of geting one myself
I dont have one but they do about 50 shots depending on tune. I have 2 Coyotes and a BSA Buccaneer rifles in 22 and 177Cals that get about the same shot count. The Coyote is a great pcp but rarely goes on sale. I was able to get a 177Cal for under $300 out the door on a clearance sale, but the Urban is normally around $299 regular price. Mine gets 30-40 shots depending on tune.

If the Stoeger was out when I bought my budget pcps that would have been my choice.

Well, if you want to go really inexpensive, low pressure, small reservoir, easy to hand pump, dirt simple then the Crosman 3622 is a good platform. Easy to mod, plenty of fun things to do with it. Love mine but consider it to be a 10 to 20 yards rifle in terms of power (16 fpe average) and accuracy out of the box. The Urban will reach out to 50 yards. The limitation is the factory tune at about 20 to 22 fpe. I did a little work on mine woth porting and a little turn on the HS to get around 26 fpe, still a good shot count around 30 shots and it gets out beyond 50 yards.
