Best quality .177 rifle pellets?

I did some searches but didn't see any meaningful results to my specific topic. I've found that like with all guns ammunition or projectile quality makes a huge difference in accuracy. When I got my Feinwerkbau 800 I picked up some Tenex air from Eley , some RWS R10 as well as some inexpensive Meisterkugeln. The results were as expected, the higher the price the more accurate the projectile. To find out what my rifle likes the best, what are some of the better brands people have tried in the .177 pellets?

Thanks in advance,

Vulcan 3 .177, Uragan 2 .177, they can make great power for slugs and be extremely accurate. Or you can tune for low power with pellets and get over 200 shots per fill easy.

I want to shoot something in the 8-12 g range and I currently get about 300 shots before I see any changes in velocity. So far the Tenex has yielded the best results. The guys at champion choice suggested I try some of the JSB pellets. I may try some slugs to see how they do. It’s been so windy it’s hard determine to much but at 25 yards the tenex air consistently makes a single hole out of five shots.

With the V3 .177 shooting 10.3gr pellets at 900fps I was getting between 340 and 350 shots per fill from 300b- 100b. I never tested it as high power. My U2 I never tested at lower power and went from 100b-135b and I'm currently shooting 16gr at 970fps for over 70shots, ome of the other members has said he gets over 200 shots with the 10gr slugs going around 940fps

I’m not sure how I would turn this up if I wanted to. First I just wat to see how accurate it can be stock. Being a 10 meter gun I think it’s designed to remain low power. It is very consistent. With Tenex it averages 565 fps and they are 8.2. I did try some lighter RWS and they averaged 630fps.

From 25 yards in the wind with Tenex.

I apologize, i've somehow misread your question. I've heard a lot of great things about HN 8gr pellets. 10.3gr AA are fantastic as well.

JTS most consistent pellets I have found as far as measurements and accuracy.

It looks like your looking for wadcutters so i'll throw this out there I have tried most brands of wadcutter pellets with absolute no luck my rifles just don't like them or I have not gotten the fps slow enough but the best results by far have been the JTS wadcutters I was getting almost acceptable results with them.

I would be interested in hearing how your search turns out.

I did order several different weight JSB pellets to try. I’ll get a some HN as well. With rim fire ammunition I have a wide variety but I have many different rifles and I each has their own preference.
Agreed! I will say, I have Chinese/Turkish barrels prefer harder pellets such as H&N QYS

There is a youtube channel called "Air Ability" by a country champion (England) bench rest shooter. He likes H&N Baracuda FT. They also shoot very well in my P35-177. It also shoots H&N Baracuda Match well but I think the FTs are a little more consistent and I get better 30 yard challenge results with them. I struggle with wind especially when shooting my 177, however.

The match pellets like Meisterkugeln, Tenex, JSB Match are quite a bit better than the rest. QYS (Qiang Yuan) are really really good for their price. In diabolo 8.44gr JSB Premium are very high quality but about the only diabolos made to that standard.

For most of us who shoot only diabolo shaped pellets at powers above a 10m match gun, we're kind of stuck with whatever quality they feel like making and there aren't any true premium options in terms of manufacturing quality. You test each tin and hope it's free of fliers. A few are, most aren't.

Which pellets shoot most accurately in any given rifle is a different question in my mind than which are the highest quality pellet. I've measured weights and head sizes for several 177 pellets and the H&N Baracuda Match are more consistent than the H&N Baracuda and Baracuda Power Power and JSB 10.34. The Baracuda FT seem more consistent than the Match but I have not measured as many. So I think the Match and FTs are higher quality. But that does not mean your gun will shoot them well.
