Vaseline is the best release agent for any bedding job. I brush it on and set whatever piece. I use wd40 sprayed on a rag to clean up any mess that I may have made with the bedding compound. I will also use wd40 to clean off the Vaseline after the compound has cured. Hope this helps...
Acraglas (green and red box)/wheelers and others...I've even used this same method on JB weld (during COVID). I trust Vaseline over the release agent in any kit you purchase
I have always used neutral shoe polish. I always put three layers on. Never had any actions get stuck. Every bedding job was done with Devcon Aluminum.
Another option is plastic wrap such as one uses in the kitchen. It's VERY thin pulling apart easily once bedding material is cured. While not idea for those jobs where you are wanting a tight and near stuck in place fit, if gives just a smidge of clearance for easier in/out of parts from the bedding material.
