For good reason, it's just a fantastic gun. My Western rattler 357 is still my favorite that I have in my collection but the Huben is now a close second.Huben sure looks like it has a huge following

excellent post what is an atom a silencer?I have owned a leshiy 2 and a huben specifically at the same time so I could make a better choice for myself, I have also shot the springbuck and the sidewinder. At this current time and all the things I have tested the huben 100% gets my vote. Now don't get me wrong the L2 is an amazing piece BUT for me the huben checked more boxes, I can go more in depth if you want some more information because I don't want to flood this thread with a crazy amount of data and pictures etc. I will say why it is my choice over the L2 is the huben is very very quiet I added a atom on Kelly's recommendation and in .25 even at 900fps it sounded broken I needed to get the chrony to double check. The next thing was on the fly power adjustment I have only just began my testing with different ammos but on my .22 I was able to go anywhere from 400fps all the way up to 1100+ with just the power wheel and reg at 140/150b in .22 with 25gr monsters I was able to get it to 58fpe now think about that that's 10fpe less than @CTairgunner1288 .25 but his is set up for a specific purpose just saying it has power on tap. Another bonus was like my buddy above said @CTairgunner1288 too was getting about 135 shots on a 300b fill in .22. Does the mag being fix throw me not even a little because it's 1 more shot over 2 mags on the L2. Compact size even with the atom was on par with all my Compact pcps and the bonus is your getting a full length barrel because of the bullpup configuration. The sidewinder has potential to be a great gun but doesn't feel as robust as others and I found the trigger to be sloppy it was not mine so it can possibly be adjusted. Springbuck is exactly that it had a Spring twang that re-cocks it and loading the magazine was a bit of a pain. Any questions at all please feel free to reach out.

Liek you said all ears are different but hear is mine with the atom in 25 at 900fpsThe Atom is the smallest moderator from Huggett, and they make great stuff. I have no experience with the Atom, but I run a Mini-Magna on my .22 Huben which is running about 32 FPE for most shooting, and I also replaced the factory baffle stack with a custom 3-D printed insert I bought from someone here, but I don't think they are still for sale. The insert on its own is definitely quieter than the factory stack, plus it blocks off airflow through the holes in the side of the shroud, which I wanted to do to make things quieter with the moderator on it (I wanted all the air to flow through the moderator).
All of which is to say that when talking about the quietness of airguns, everything is relative, not least because we all have different hearing. In my opinion, my Huben was not that quiet when I got it - it was definitely much quieter than a bare barreled gun, but it was way louder than my .22 Marauders with no add on moderators, and much louder than my .22 Daystate Air Ranger with Huggett shroud all at similar power levels. Louder to the point that my family could care less if I shot the other guns in our basement at any time, but the Huben caused issues at times. Now it is "as quiet" as the others, so no issues . . . but I certainly would not think it is not working when I fire it at its current power levels.
I do find the Mini-Magna a good fit on it. The sound level of it is about the same as a Huma 40 Compact and a Donny FL Tatsu that I have also tested on it, but for some reason I get better accuracy with the Mini-Magna. The Huma was quieter by about only a decibel on my phone sound meter, but it is also the biggest of the three. Here is the Huggett range of moderators, so you can compare: https://huggettmoderators.com/products/
So did I...I have mine set around 28 fpe and getting 70+ shots on a 200 bar fill. If you can stomach the price the Pro X is an easy gun to like. I've passed the testing phase of ownership and just shoot to enjoy now...The Pro X has yet to jam on me...no doupt an impressive piece of kit!I chose the Steyr ProX.
In 22 cal its around 30 fpe and the mid weight pellets shoot best in it - 13 to 18gr.
The noise by your ear is louder than most other airguns.
It's a little heavy-ish but very ergonomic and is great for offhand shooting.
Trigger is nice.
It is reliable and there haven't been any leaks.
I like the magazines but they are expensive and so is the gun.
Build quality is top of the line.
If I found a gun equal in most aspects but with more magazine capacity and with less noise by the ear I might consider buying one.
Brawler - are you shooting pellets in that video or just cycling the action? If there is no projectile, the valving releases much less air. Mine sounds pretty much like that with no pellets, but is louder with them. If that is with pellets, it is quieter than mine . . .Liek you said all ears are different but hear is mine with the atom in 25 at 900fps
That's with pellets the indexing makes more of a ting than anything else. I am surprised at how well it does. As for the etching thank you and it comes in handy really like how it turned out.Brawler - are you shooting pellets in that video or just cycling the action? I do love that laser etched mag!!
I'm getting over 60 fpe out of mine on the first 6 to 8 shots with a 40 grain Apollo slug. And after that it never drops below 50 on all 17.I would agree with you. I’m actually looking to get me a Huben Gk1 in .25.
I agree, my GK1 It's definitely the gun I shoot the most. My Huben K1 was my most shop gun till I got this pistol. I just love this thing, since I've gotten it I've put over a thousand pellets and slugs through it trying to find the perfect ammo that it likes and I still not had a single problem with it. I learned from my K1 how to load it and make sure that the pellets and slugs were seated properly so I've had no problems with this pistol, I've never had a jam or a misfire. I spent a lot of money in the beginning on cheaper guns like AEA and Hatsans, and my opinion it's worth it to spend the extra money to get a quality product that you know you can trust to do what you want every time. With that power and shot count you would be able to kill anything smaller than deer sized animals no problem.
It's worth the wait.makes my wait for my .25 GK1 seem eternalCan either gun be bad? At this level, it's all about feel I think.
