Id would recommend a beeman r9 referb , but the ones they have dont come off a good deal right now

399$ without sights ? Really? Buy sights to put on the gun that should already have them and the referb cost the same as a brand new @ 499 .. lol pa.. got to keep your eye on them cats nowadays..

Trying to have something under $500 that would do all well and I compromise on price.

IF you know how to shoot them , and practice enough ,yes

Buy a Diana 48, you can find used ones on eBay for $300, or new anywhere for $450, they are not as refined as the HW77 or TX200 but they shoot really nice.

Thanks guys. I am looking at a 48 or Tx200 now. Do you guys feel like the 48 is overpowered for .177?
