Best Suppressor for High Power Gun with no shroud

a donny emperor with the optional expansion chamber .. its going to make the gun a foot and a half longer though, and depending on the gun setup, if it has a tube tank youll want a depinger in it for sure .. overall though, before i considered any of that, id ask myself how practical its going to be for what im doing with it, a giant supressor is not easy to handle if you got to move around alot ..

@Esab
If you are permitted to import from EU countries, I would suggest looking into the Altaros moderators.
I have long and short versions, each in 22 & 25 caliber and they work quite well.
However, none of my rifles approach 97FPE

Their customer service team is quite affable, and IMO you would get an honest answer from them about the ability to silence your 97FPE gun

I have also attached a link to the version of the Altaros website silencers that we see in the USA

I hope you find this helpful

Not to be facetious, but are you sure that owning and using airgun suppressor is legal in Italy?

If legal to own and use, then it should be legal to purchase locally. So, it is a matter of locating a local airgun shop that sells them; or am I missing something?

@Esab,

I suggest you confirm this for yourself, but it seems that Italian gun law does not permit you to have a suppressor for your airgun because it shoots at over 7.5 Joule. I was going to suggest a solution to you, but decided to research Italian law first; because I don't want to lead you into a trap. This is what I found:

"Members of the public, including those holding a valid gun license, are prohibited in Italy from owning suppressors or any other device designed to reduce the noise of the discharge of a licensable gun. This is specified in art. 2 of Law 110/1975, which doesn't explicitly differentiate between firearms and airguns.

However, said article of law does specify, that it is not legally considered a gun any airgun producing less than 7.5 Joules of kinetic energy at the muzzle. Said airguns can be owned by anyone over the age of 18, without any license. This exclusion from gun laws also means that the suppressor ban does not apply to said off-ticket airguns, and suppressors are readily and legally available for them. Considering that the suppressors for off-ticket airguns are exactly the same as those for a full power airgun, airgun suppressors on their own are legal unless they are installed onto a full power airgun (one that produces more than 7.5J of energy).

The majority of airgun shops have suppressors for sale in the two most common calibers, .17 and .22. To be used on 7.5 Joule airguns only."

So, it seems that the reason why .25 caliber airgun suppressors are not common in Italy is because 7.5 Joule .25 caliber airguns are not common.

If you want your .25 to be quieter, detune it to 40 FPE, or less. If you can find a much longer fully rifled barrel for it, that will also make it quieter. Neither of those approaches would violate the law against adding a suppressor. Otherwise, it seems that you are out of luck.
