N/A Best value PCP?

I picked up an Avenger Bullpup off of Craigslist for $150 about a year ago. New I think they’re around $400 and it’s a pretty good gun even at that price. I’m impressed by what I got for the money even after ordering magazines that it didn’t come with. At the same time however, I’m not really satisfied with it. Accuracy is pretty good, but not amazing, it’s a bit noisier than I would like and it just doesn’t feel like a high quality gun when you hold it. It doesn’t feel like junk though, just utilitarian. The kind of gun that uses steel instead of carbon fiber for a barrel shroud.

The Huben K1 is a seriously impressive gun, but it costs close to $2000 and I feel it has some safety issues that make it less than ideal. Still though, it’s accurate, powerful, efficient, quiet, semiautomatic, compact, handles nicely and looks good and that’s a hell of a lot of pros to make up for very few cons.

i just rotate the mag until i have an empty slot in the magazine aligned with the barrel. dry firing doesnt rotate the magazine over.
i have the budget notos and a not so budget k1.. i think i’m set for a while.

i just cannot justify spending more than 1300$ for an airgun. i can get a nice PB with that kind of money.

i know people that have high end airguns and they dont even use them for what they’re designed to be able to do just because they don’t have a place to really push the guns capability. it makes me think of people buying the newest iphones and only using it for texting, internet and youtube. these iphones nowadays have LIDAR and people don’t even know what that technology is.

A higher quality PB you're looking at a heck of a lot more than $1300. For example go price Vudoo or RimX rimfires.
Same for many higher end PB's of all kinds.

You're paying much more for the diminishing returns for higher quality stuff but it is there nonetheless. It's called refinement, and yes superior ergos, match grade triggers, and better build quality, every upgrade all adds up to excellence.

Yes $1300 is a lot of money but $1300 buys a lot less than it did a decade ago.

Have to agree, I have PBs that haven’t been used in years… My PCPs get lots of use in target practice/plinking and practically on pests…

For me PCPs are more relaxing and quieter. After listening to construction site noise all day, I welcome the silence. After a session of F/T practice or just shooting spinners and plinking I'm good.

what’s nice to me might not be so nice to you
1300$ can get me an m&p40 and ammo, or a jericho 941. not the best, but nice in my eyes.
majority of airgunners aren’t looking to push past 100 yards for a kill.
if they have the money, they can spend it. i personally can’t recommend +1500$ airguns to someone just starting out.
