Tuning Best way to stop Crosman bolts from popping open

I recently bought a Benjamin discovery and when I fire the bolt pops up. I am not sure this even causes any problems but I don't really like it. I knew this was a common issue with Crosman breeches and bolts so I am not surprised or disappointed in the gun. I would however like to be able to fix the problem tho. I'm aware of the rubber band trick but that's ghetto and not for me. I considered using some tubing to fix it but not really sure it will do what I want. Do any of you guys have any solutions for this? Thanks

A 6mm round by 2mm thick neodymium magnet epoxied to the air tube will latch it down positively.

The trick is getting the magnet positioned well. What I do is put the magnet on the bolt handle and slide it down until the corner of the magnet touches the tube. Then pool in a bit of thick epoxy where they touch. If necessary do a second application after the first has cured, such that you have a generous fillet of epoxy supporting the magnet.

Crosman leaves far to much slop in the bolt to breech fit. There are lots of options here.

Sometimes just a new o-ring on the probe will help.

You can also put a slight bend in the handle so it fits up a bit tighter to the breech I have done this it werqs well and is a long term solution.

I drilled a hole through the top of the breech and once threaded I put a piece of an o-ring down the hole and then installed a set screw and tighten it till the o-ring hit the probe. This holds the bolt back and open as well as stops the bolt from jumping around.

Someone once used a center punch on the breech at the point where the handle will catch on the protruding metal that the punch makes it werqed well.

The magnet idea sounds like a good option also.
