Big Bore Hunting Northern Nevada

Hello All,

I live in the north Reno area, looking for other people to practice with and hunt jacks, coyotes and other pests using high power air guns. seem to be a lot of them around here.

Coyotes got my cat,.....revenge will be mine!

I’d Love to join you seek justice for your cat but it’s a long swim then hike across to Nevada from Hawaii

I live up north valley, I'm shooting a Seneca eagle claw .25, and a Seneca Light Hunter .457.i can dial back the .25 to shoot at 25 yards, the .457 is just a beast, and in no way back yard friendly, it makes 160fpe on low power, i have a very large carbon fiber tank, a 4x4 and a compressor :)

I am down to go shooting just about any time. i have a great spot not far from my house on BLM land 100+ yards.

I sometimes go thru Lemmon Valley and to the end of the Antelope Valley road. Then, when the road turns right I go straight into Bedel Flats. About a mile in (dirt road), where a big rock outcrop is located. Where do you go for 100 yrd shooting? Mickey P.S. I know a lot of gun powder shooters but no air gunners. We use to go up from the kart track, but it is off limits now.

Hey brpman,

I live in that area, there is a spot a lot closer we can go to, BLM ranger chased me off of where i was shooting and led me to a spot that is all good, and way closer than Bedel. we can shoot in congested areas with airgun and shotguns as long as your 1000 yards out and have a proper backstop :) i bring my own wood target stands and i welded up some steel swingers, i try not to leave a mess

PS Reno shooters, i have .457 ammo available i cast my own ball rounds and 230gn round nose, pure soft lead, both shoot extremely well for me

here is a pic for you Extex,

i melted the lead today from last weekend shoot at my neighborhood spot, after shooting i always spend a few minutes picking up range lead, a lot of people shoot at this spot and there is lots of nice soft jacketed lead just laying on the ground, this is from about 30 min of picking. those are 230 gn .457 round nose, that's about 250 rounds. total weight of todays clean up and casting was 19lbs of slugs and ingots

I would love to come up and see that country . I used to be a guide , mainly for elk, mule deer , antipope , Aoudad, and waterfowl . I was just introduced into this work of PCP power and wow !! I bought a impact MKll and love it , I’m waiting on a Maverick to be delivered for my 12 year old son . He has shot since 5 and has taken many animals already with his .308 . This will give him a new challenge and I may take him to some competitions , he is that good .
So , sometime , someday my don and I would love to meat someone like you and come up and have a blast !
buy the way , anyone have any experience with airplane travel with these ??? I may make a post about it ???
