Big game with limited power, .177 or .22?

I was just wondering what their reasoning was for the restriction, it's not like air rifles pose any sort of unusual danger by using them on public land? Safety reasons are the only thing I can think of why they would do this?
Hmmmm interesting,......safety ?

Safety from what ? that's the only thing you can think off ? .....you sure make a lot of suppositions without bases nor knowlwdge.

Btw,....Crossbows are also not permitted in Hawaii as a Hunting weapon, what's your supposition about that :ROFLMAO:

In an extreme situation that may never happen, I would consider to hunt for food, mainly small game, there is plenty around here, but I also prefer to have the option to shoot a hog, there is plenty of them also, they truly are an infestation and a problem that would solve if gun laws and hunting permits where more reasonable to get. Yes, I see the infamous .177 sub 20 fpe hog kill and I know it can be done, and I also know that those power levels are far beyond the recomended to take efectivelly anything big, but we are talking on SHTF situation, you, your airgun, a hog on sight... .177 30 fpe or .22 40+fpe?
Back to the original question by the OP since the thread go sidetracked in all kinds directions

And the answer is a resounding,...YES !

Exactly my point, overwelming power does not make hunting more ethical,.....it's all about the hunter in the end.
I love what Sam Fadala once said, if velocity and energy didn't matter we could all just carry a pocket full of roundballs and throw them at the game" He was/is a blackpowder shooter/hunter his books are really informative.

What's that supposed to mean?
@Buddy2023 It’s a very simple question. As far as I can tell you don’t seem too interested in seeking much information and contributing much of substance. You are here tying to confront other members and for what? So again, why are you here? From what I can see in this thread you are a rabble rouser. I could care less about you PMing me to tell me that you reported me.

You’re the type of person on an open forum that I despise. I have no problem stating that.

And back in the Day lines of Soliders would march up to each other and fire round ball and HOPE to hit thier targets!

I'm sick of your condescending comments towards me and if you're too stupid to understand that it absolutely does have something to do with the context of this thread be it that the topic is about low power weapons for hunting.
Again as soon as you get pinned in a corner and cannot come up with a decent debatable point you just try deflect and twist like a pretzel since you have no argument with any kind of substance.

I'm not pinned in any corner I mentioned Sam Fadala because he's a very smart highly educated man and he's covered this topic albeit with muzzleloaders very extensively. I think the only reason you're keeping this up is for the simple reason that I disagree with you.

Rifled Muskets used during the Civil War could hit a man 500 yards away. " When his men warned him to take cover, Sedgwick responded by joking, "They couldn’t hit an elephant at that distance." Just then, a sharpshooter’s bullet crashed into his skull, right below his left eye, killing him instantly." That Confederate Sharpshooter was using a Whitworth .451 rifle and the shot was 1,000 yards away.

I actually like when people do disagree with me as long as they have a valid argument, that you don't obviously have.

Bringing in throwing roundballs ? when we are talking of small projectiles traveling at 900-1000 fps, you see how your argument is deeply flawed ?

Also you very quick responding with nonsense on selected post and just as quick avoiding responding posts that you absolutely cannot argue with since,...yes you don't have a valid one :ROFLMAO: so try deflect.
