AEA Bintac t9 misfire (fixed)

So I figured out and fixed the annoying issue many many t9 users have been facing with magazine jams, misfire, and pellets being clipped by the bolt. I figured out the issue is happening because the magazine starts ejecting it self as the gun cycles the action as it fires...the magazines that come with the t9 come with a felp on the back of the magazine ehh it doesn't do much for keeping the magazine in place and not keeping from ejecting that causes all the issues mentioned. And if you buy single magazine extras does don't even come with anything on the back completely bare... so i bought some grip tape and cut out the shape of the magazine on the back i will post pictures of finished product and link of what I used im still in testing stage....I have fired already 10 magazines rapid fire slow fire...with moderator with moderator and extension tube and not one single hang up...I keep you all posted of final results so all you t9 owners can enjoy the gun the way it should be.

So I have fired another 10 magazines rapid fire teether non teether with moderator and extension tube no jams working flawless..

Here is what I did

1 cut out the grip tape to form the back of the magazine it goes in snug and it holds.it in place...
2 this is the product I bought perfect thickness any more and it wont slide in the breech.

Are you using a moderator and if so, which one? Some moderators cause too much back-pressure which makes the bolt cycle too aggressively. Ever since I stopped using a moderator my T9 shoots flawlessly, both with the standard magazines as well as the plastic HP Max magazines.

You may also wanna check which ammo type you're using. Lighter projectiles generally perform much better (approx. 80 grains and under). I've mainly been shooting FX Hybrids without issue. Heavy slugs can also put too much pressure on the bolt.

It's a shame that the cycling mechanism is so sensitive, but it is what it is. If you know all of it's quircks the T9 can run just fine.

That's great the grip tape is working out for you. I use crystal clear gorilla tape on all my aea mags, 2 layers on the t9. I just did a write up on "setting up an aea rifle". Take a look at it. The t9 kicks very hard and the mags wobble out of place.
You can probably un thread the spring ball detent in the magwell slightly with a flat head screw driver.( I did) Not too much or it will be above the surface of the aluminum.
A few other things I do with my t9 is I only fill it to 4k, and I only run texoma precision 68 grain hollow skirts. (Hollow points will get hung up on the edge of the barrel. ) since making those few changes the t9 hasn't miss fire or jammed. Aea makes powerful accurate guns, but they aren't for people that can't problem solve. Glad you found a solution by figuring out what the issue was and using your head to make the problem go away. I have 6 aea/ bintac they all have gorilla tape except the s45. That mag has a key on the side and a detent on top and snaps into place perfect. All there mags need to adopt those two features

Im sorry brother this did not worked for you ..so far.im getting no jams on both my t9
You will at some point. Tape the back of your mags like he did, or clear gorilla tape like i do, or they will walk out of the magwell and you will get a jam. The fitment is far too loose for a semi auto that kicks that hard

I also raised the spring ball slightly above the surface with a flat head counter clock wise and put a few pieces of clear gorilla leading up to the ball so there's no lip. It helps tighten things up a little.

Amen brother thank you for your input i will buy crystal clear gorilla tape to have as well..so far my grip tape is working I've found that when I teether the gun it jams it doesn't like 4500 psi all the time..but when I fill take air supply off and shoot a whole magazine is working great..glad to hear ur recommendations maybe I should also try the small ball on the magwell like u said.

I just ran my t9 and had my first mis/ no fire in a while. A click of the trigger and nothing happened. I have had some slow shots mixed in with the good shots, but it has been a long time for a no shot. So I removed my ronin moderator, put on some earmuffs and it ran better than ever. Just flawless. I'm running the grip on the back of the magazine now too, it's a little tighter than my 2 layers of gorilla tape. A little hard to get in, but you know its not going to move. I'm thinking the moderator is 100% causing the slow/ no shots that occur. So off with the moderator for the next 100 rounds and see if I have any issues.

Yeah I heard the moderator builds more back pressure on the hammer causing the misfire unfortunately I have to use moderator and extension tube i have neighbors and I can shoot all day in my house with that setup without disturbing anyone...but since I started using the tape I get a misfire very rare is been really good to me.
