AEA Bintac T9

I’ve had my t9 for about 3 months, I got it with the folding stock sporting a ronin. I haven’t been on here in a while. Just got on to read and see what everyone is shooting. I didn’t realize there was this many issues with the t9. I didn’t realize that it must have ejected the breach seal once, maybe on a dry fire. Because it don’t lock out when the mag is empty. Other than replacing that and watching my shot count. I guess I’m lucky, I’m getting 880fps with the fx hybrid 35cal and they are fairly accurate too. 1 inch group ls at 30 yards still deadly at 60 yards. Works wonders at 25 30 yards on raccoons, can’t wait for a fox or coyote to come sniffing around the quail cages.

I sent the broken handle back today. Luckily BinTac was kind enough to send a replacement to my local dealer. I hope I will receive it soon. They will also look into the material and see if there is a design issue. Obviously this should not happen. The bolt handle should be able to withstand the force of the blowback. Looking at the material at a glace, it does seem fairly brittle. It has a solid outer shell, but the white-ish inner core looks a bit sus. Im not a metalurgist, so I don't know what that material is called. But it's definitely not solid steel.

Custom mag built along the lines the way the hatsan blitz extended mag is built would be nice, a 12 shot mag. I see the bar style mags that stick out the side of the t9, I don’t think that’s the best route to take. The t9 is really only good for about 12 hard shots, so 12 shot oval mag with a lockout spot on the mag. Would be fantastic.Yeah, now I can finally get back to those custom magazines

Ouch..... but I'm not surprised honestly always thought the Prototype T9 bolt and handle looked more durable and better then the finished product tbh.

That's what I'm saying been waiting forever but with how things are going maybe it's best it stays in the oven longer so there's less issues but so far there semi-auto shotgun and the Sonic seem to be on hold.

Probably still trying to get certification for the 7000psi in the USA. I want that 92 cal they showed a while back. That would be kick ass for a Bison hunt in Arizona.
But I guess I’ll have to try it with the MCAR.
Honestly, though I won’t stop until it’s heard from every mountain top and valley world wide. The main issue with AEA guns. Everything failure I would bet money is caused by the spring that supports the function of the particular part that failed.

Two questions is the t9 worth it to buy and that magazine are you selling them? I’m about to buy one of these mainly because I like the hot swap option but this seems like a lot of issues

I decided not to go through with the magazines. The results were too inconsistent to sell them. I tried everything to make them function reliably and unfortunately it never did.
It's honestly too much of a hastle to waste any more time on it. The T9 is unreliable and just as finnicky as the S45. I regret buying it, and it is the last BinTac product I will ever touch.

Oof. But I don't blame you for canceling your mag project or being disappointed in BinTac they do need to up there quality along with AEA honestly crazy there best product they had this year was easily the Harpoon.

BinTac is just AEA, but worse. Their QC is abyssmal. They didn't even bother to test the T9 with a moderator before they slapped it onto the market. That should tell you enough.
At least AEA is getting better. The Harpoon was a big improvement over the defender. The Megalodon has been a big hit, and a lot of people seem happy with it. The SF series (while not perfect) are a lot more reliable than the original HP series. They're not there yet, but at least there is growth.

BinTac has terrible customer service, Bin in particular. I called and talked to Bin about a leak on my T9, and he told me to dry fire it 20 times, and to call him back. The leak just got worse. I called him back, and he told me to call him the next day. I called him, and asked what next steps would be. He asked me to text him my address, which I did, and that he would send me the thing that would "fix the leak". Crickets. This was a month ago. I decided to get a Hatsan Tactical Sorte (in .25 cal)
Ill never buy AEA / BinTac products ever again.

Well guess I'll share some AEA news. The AEA Sonic is now a pump action and .30 only but supposedly it's gonna be stupid expensive because AEA is supposedly taking it's time so it's high quality. Also the new Zeus MK 2 is suppressed and very silent and more compact as it's a bullpup but yeah that's about all I heard but I thought I'd share it here.

Unless they changed their spring manufacture they’ll still have issues. They tend to work really well with good sturdy reliable spring replacement.Well guess I'll share some AEA news. Agree. Speaking of springs do you know any knowledge of the T9's springs or one's that would best to replace the default one's?

That pump-action AEA Sonic looks pretty darn cool aestethically. But .30 being the biggest caliber choice is a bit silly. I think it should go up to 9mm at least. The Megalodon 15" is already quite short, so if you want a compact and powerful pumper, just get that one. The Sonic doesn't really fill a niché in my opinion.

I ordered a couple from wolf springs a while back. It was a pain measuring the dimensions to send him. So I started getting springs from local gunsmith’s that were the same coil size and cutting, bending and filling them to fit. Nearly every problem I’ve had with Aea guns was caused by weak or worn spring.

I see. Well if you ever find the correct spring sizes could you let me know? I'd like to add slightly better one's to my T9.
