Bipod for springer with no rails

I've got a Walther Parrus, no rails on the bottom to clamp to. Is there a knockoff atlas bipod that clamps to the barrel?

You probably want a really flimsy one since you want it to move as the gun recoilss if mounting it to your Springer barrel.

I'd like something a  little  bit nicer than that....but you just pointed me in the right direction. A "clamp on bipod". When I was searching all that I saw were ones that mounted to a picatinny rail.

Springers need to move when the shot goes off. For this reason, I would recommend shooting off a sandbag. It will allow the rifler that freedom of movement that it needs. 

Research "Military Hold". It'll get you moving in the right direction for shooting a springer accurately.

I'm not a firm believer in the artillery hold being the be all end all of shooting a break barrel and I say that because I've had several that actually shot better with a firm hold. 

The first of them was a Umarex Fuel .22 which came with what I always thought of as a weird add-on, but the guns have flip down bipod legs built onto the rifle. While the engineering was a bit shoddy and they never quite locked firmly in place, they actually worked fairly well for shooting that rifle.

While it actually worked pretty well, it also made for some minor issues. With the legs up for offhand shooting, you then had the legs in the way of getting a good barrel grip to cock the rifle. When they were down, you had to watch cocking the rifle since when barrel moves, the bipod moves with it...lol. Also made an almost 9 pound gun scoped weigh close to 11 pounds. 

One word of note and that's that both of those rifles were gas rams which, while piston guns, recoil differently than a true springer and while your mileage may vary should you decide to try one, I'm one of those people that will say if you want to, by all means give it a try and see.

STILL Trying to find the thread I been bashed about parroting do not mount anything to your Springer Barrel that it will negatively effect accuracy.

Check out Airgun Detectives on Youtube. He uses bipods on most of the springers he evaluates. He sells them on his web site. He even does a video on installing them.

I think it depends mostly on WHICH springer. My Walther's will shoot the same rested or not. But I have a Diana 460 that is quite accurate if I don't rest it on anything solid. The movement/vibration seems to make it "rebound" off of firm rest surfaces. I can rest my hand lightly on anything while holding the rifle and it shoots great. I'm also not sold on the "artillery hold" concept.
