What a smorgasbord. Temps. mid 30’s and snowing constantly. 5 black rifles, 3 makers.
First up Hadson 130 .30 cal. This is a young man’s gun, and that’s not me.
Started shooting at this can which filled with water and froze.
The 130 decimated it. I tried hitting the rim and wrapping it around the shot. He’s my try.
Trick shot. Not only did it destroy the can it also destroyed my shoulder.
Finished with the 130 and I jumped on a HW30 .177. Snow with a bit of wind sneaking in.
It was so easy to Jack after the 130 I almost gave it barrel droop the first time I jacked it. Talk about beast and lamb. The 30 was spot on. Even at 47 yds. Easy.
Next up one of the smoothest out of the box, LGU Varmite .22. If there’s a gun I would love to reappear it’s the LGU and LGV. I so thankful I scored this one.
It’s a pleasure to shoot. I have a spring, piston seal and a Rowan trigger for this gem.
‘s aren’t going to be happy.
Next up and last a HW50 .177 with Vortek. Clean and mean. Great mechanics.
Love the muzzle end by Kirk. Makes the gun, through my eyes.
‘Had 15 rounds left of the .30 cal. Went for it. Feel it now. And so does this can.
Didn’t hit it many times. Don’t have to. Shot 7 rifles today in just other 3 1/2 hrs. Great day. Oh a note. These rifles may be the first candidates for custom stocks. Crow
Any of you get out for a winter shoot? Crow
