Skout Blown HP Evo reg.

Well darn.

I was going to up the pressure to 1800 shoot .25 slugs for test the other day and air started hissing out of the HP reg. I'd shoot it and it would stop for maybe half a second and than start hissing again., Couldn't make it stop so depressurized the gun and pulled out the reg. I found a shredded o-ring in the, (what I call poppet cap), or the MFE103. There's an internal o-ring in there, the SK-OU9009. I removed it and it looks like an X-ring or what they call a quad ring. Measures 9.08mm. Looking in my Skout supplied o-ring box and there's nothing in there to replace. UGH! of course not; got every o-ring BUT that one. Only thing close is a standard ring measuring 9.65mm and I can't make it fit. No one locally seems to have one of them critters.
Skout maintenance dept. isn't answering email or phone calls. I'll try again first thing in the morning. Man, the weather is turning nice and I got nothing to shoot with.
Sorry, just frustrated. Been chasing a leak in an Impact all day and I can't find it. So I think it's time for a beer and a chill...I'm frazzled.

Guess the question is...is it really an X-ring in that spot? I have replace all the external white orings with Black Buna N90's

that one is terrible to remove, and just slightly easier to install
The x-rings are newer to the hp regs..just a few months ..a n70 will work until you get another x
but when you go to remove it...you have to almost destroy it to get it out..it's location is challenging

You can replace SK-OU9009 with a -009 Buna N X ring 70 duro, or a -009 Buna N 90 duro o-ring. Either will work. The X ring is softer so easier to install. Also, the -003 oring Buna N 90 duro in MFE107 (internal) also is critical. And while apart, I'd replace the -012 Buna N duro 90 on MFE104 valve seat outer.
