Hello fellow shooters! The following is the December schedule for all the airgun events at the historic Boerne Shooting Club located at 33 Shooting Club Road, Boerne, TX. Apologies in afvance for the included information regarding benchrest being in the FT section.
A personal note from the Match Director:
Over the past month or so many have noticed my attention to items such as match reports and the like has been less than stellar, to which I cannot deny. Since the heatstroke I endured this past summer I have been battling some medical issues and apologize profusely for not following all of my Match Director duties or being communicative about the situation.. My health has since returned and will be playing ‘catch up’ this month with the match prizes, and the websites will be updated with reports and scores. Thank you for your patience.
And thank you all for coming out to shoot airguns with us at Boerne over the past year. Growing pains aside, we managed to expand our field target to the long range variety, added pistol competitions and introduced a FT version of silhouette. As we move into the new year we are expanding our airgun disciplines even more, our aim of offering something for almost every airgun shooter monthly is becoming a reality. Even more, we are looking at having powder and air compete side by side in the coming year and bringing together even more great people and shooting enthusiasts. The new shooters are always the most important and we have been fortunate to have introduced airguns and airgun competitions to quite a few people, some who are returning to airguns and some who were newly introduced.

A few announcements and notes:
The addition of benchrest competitions is now confirmed and the property will be the site of 10,25,50 and 100yd airgun benchrest competitions with some starting this month! We are working to shoot N50, ARBA competitions and will follow similar rulesets in the interim. For 100yd we plan on following the ASA ruleset. In addition, we will be starting the “Luftgewehr Schützenverein” (Airgun Schützenverein) on the 100yd range in the coming months. This is an airgun modified version of the club’s historic discipline shot in 1864.
Typically there are two Saturdays set aside for airgun competitions, however this December only one airgun weekend is scheduled as the club has a previously scheduled event and will be closed to the public the weekend of the 9th. The normally scheduled 2nd and 3rd Saturday for airgun competitions will resume in January 2024, weather permitting.
DECEMBER AIRGUN COMPETITIONS
Boerne Field Target Club will be hosting the December AFFTA styled Field Target match on the Woods Course in the morning, followed by a 12 fpe pistol match also up over the berm.. Airgun benchrest will commence in the afternoon. Texas Field Target and the 100yd range will not be shot this month but the larger caliber and higher energy limits will be shot in the 50 yd benchrest competition.

AIRGUN FIELD TARGET
Gates open at 8:00 am for sight-in on the 50yd range.
Match starts at 9:00 am on the Woods Course.
20 FPE limit on all pistols and rifles. AAFTA ruleset
12-12:30 pm sight in for Pistol, 12 FPE maximum
12:30 pm 12 fpe Pistol match start
Cost is $10 per shooter, per match. New members who shoot their second match will receive practice target compliments of Pyramyd Air!, snacks, air and water will be available.
AIRGUN BENCHREST
3:00-3:30 pm Sight in for Benchrest. Setting up earlier will be allowed but no shooting will occur on the 50 yd range until 3pm.
Benchrest Guidelines:
Aforementioned, this month we will be shooting a borrowed ruleset from the N50. We will score with a .224 head plug however, and will limit to pellets only for this match. Similar targets will be used. Distance will be 50 yds for all calibers up to .30 and 100 fpe limit.
25yd benchrest will follow a modified ASARB ruleset.
Pistol benchrest will also be allowed for both distances. Max energy 20 fpe! Open Sight springer too!
4 relays will be shot in total. 30 min per card with 5 min between.
As this is an informal match, both 25 and 50 yd will shoot concurrently.
Cost is $10 general entry and $2.50 per card ($10/4).
