The Boerne Field Target Club will be holding it regularly scheduled matches on Saturday, June 17th. Two Field Target Matches and Benchrest in the afternoon. This month we will have a 100yd benchrest recreational shoot, not unlike last month. As this 100 yd range has not been used in many many years, we may have a bunch of cold line calls to acclimate ourselves with the setup. The idea is that when we officially open the 100yd again, we want to make sure it all goes smooth as it carries some historical significance! All shooters are welcomed.

33 Shooting Club Road Boerne, TX 78006

Gates Open at 8:00 am
Morning FT Match begins at 9am
Afternoon FT Match begins at 12:30
Shooters are asked to return to the 50 yd range after their match for awards.

Benchrest begins at 3:30* - ALL CARS WILL HAVE TO BE MOVED BACK PRIOR TO SHOOTING 100yds AND ALL OTHER RANGES WILL BE CLOSED DURING THE 100 YD SHOOT. 100 FPE max, pellet only.

Sight in range open from 8-9 am and between matches but must remain closed closed during matches, no exceptions.

As always, new shooters have entry fees waived.
Cost is $20 for FT ( includes both matches) and only $10 for the recreational 100yd shoot.

Being only a few degrees above Hades, our turnout was understandably low and the real match report is coming later today.
Consider this the post match match report(?)
After the 1st match we setup some targets on the 50 range for practice and some bench shooting. The heat broke enough to move on to the 100 and start to get some Texas Field Target shots tested and inspect target areas, backdrops etc. Wanted to show y’all what we were looking at most of the afternoon as the historic 100yd range will be re-opened for airgun only! Viva la pneumatics!
Image is from behind a 100yd bench. The covered target holders at 100yds adds a cool cowboy feel, just picture the Mickey or Cowboy target in the window! Plus, the holders can be removed so the targets can be moved back to 125yds and you shoot through the window into the pistol range. Wind shifted 180 degrees a few times so this will be challenging! We setup a target at different distances and locations to determine some shots, lane setup and of course, safety measures. As the 100yd range has been dormant for some time, I was glad many did not stay to shoot 100yds as it allowed for many behind the scenes preparations that would not have been possible that day. So low turnout turned out to be a good thing!
