Zbroia Bottle conversion

they come with a 300 cc tank,,, pretty big to start with
I wish mine was the smaller 220 cc tank , was not an option when I got mine
I was wondering about the conversion because I messed up the tank/regulator assembly (could NOT leave well enough alone) so I am looking to replace the assembly. Hope I can get the factory replacement.

How you like that Sapsan? Don’t see much talk about them in the forums. Looks like a really well made gun.

Rob
They are superb.

In the short time that I've had both, the Sapsan S edges out my Veteran S. All-around just a bit smoother to shoot and ergonomically it fits my physique better. Not that there's anything wrong w the Veteran.

The only obvious caveat is that Zbroia is doing business in a war zone, so customer support might be understandably hard to get at times.

I have a leaking fill valve ATM, so it's been side lined for now. It might of been the result of me using the gun in sub-freezing temps because it was working perfectly before hand. The good news is that it's obvious, so I don't have to go searching for it. If it weren't broken I'd probably neglect my other guns.

what is messed up, photo if you can
my regulator had bad threads that gulled when I 1st took it apart,, got tap and die to chase it with, works good now
Zbroia has a bad habit of not having smooth threads on their aluminum or brass parts

First trouble happened when I was trying to fix a leak. I removed the "tank" with some pressure still in the tank. Fast forward to Monday and I really did it.
I'll get photos and post later.

This is all my doing.

o_O:cry: Uh the rush without feeling, like a easy pickup. I had that happen to something less important. What I did was file the messed-up threads until they were gone, then touched up the female threads a bit with a needle file. It worked well. Caution, Will Roberson: Do not take a chance if there are not enough good threads to hold the bottle safely. Yes, I am very good with file work, the tool kind. I hate paperwork. I better advise you to get new parts.(y)

Good advice on the "get new parts". I just have to be patient. I will get this fixed. :)

Gulp, I feel for you man. It happens. Just sorry that it had to be this gun.

So much aluminum in PCPs. I get why this is so, but anything threaded will be relatively delicate. The alternatives will probably result in either a steel boat anchor or will be plastic, I mean polymers. Titanium?

Out of curiosity & education, was the cause crossed threads putting it back on? Or was that the result of removal w the pressure?

I believe the problem started with removing under pressure. My theory, the aluminum threads "stretched" when removed. A few times of remove/replace eventually caused results. I should note - tube was a little loose when I was threading it back on. Should have stopped at that point. Lesson learned.
