Bought a Springer

After much over-analyzing of all airguns, I ordered a springer... A Weihrauch HW50 S is on her way from the Nederlands towards Alabama.

I've watched every YouTube review vid of every model of PCP, springer and other varieties over the last month. I am relieved to have finally pulled the trigger.

Congratulations, you have made IMO an excellent purchase. I own a 22 cal Hw50S and I’m very impressed by it, as someone on this forum once said the Hw50 is the goldilocks of the Weihrauch line.

Congratulations on your purchase. I have never owned an HW50 but I'm a huge Weihrauch fan. I've been shooting the HW95. Weihrauch is very high quality regardless of which model you buy. What caliber did you get yours in?
let us know how it shoots when you get it.

I got the 177. I had several more expensive versions in and out of my cart, but came back to my senses and went with the 50 because it fits my purpose perfectly, and I liked the lighter weight for toting it around. My wife and I both will use it, and she wouldn't enjoy a 9-10# rifle. I also liked the concept of self sufficiency and not being chained to an air supply. Should be here in a few days hopefully.

She may like the HW30 even better. Just a tad smaller but a pleasure to shoot.

I believe that you have made a great choice. I have enjoyed my HW95L and my wife likes plinking with this rifle off our back deck. Weihrauch are excellent pellet rifles.

Congratulations on a nice choice. I have a few Weihrauchs. They're all great but if were only allowed one it'd be my 177 Hw50. It's just a great balance of power, size and weight.

I also bought 3 tins of pellets of 3 various styles. From a vendor on here, I bought the patch worm cleaning kit. I'm excited to get everything then begin my setup with accessories.

Good call. Its hard to say what the PERFECT springer is but if I had to make a list of my favorites to shoot, the 50S would definitely be on it.

Good choice. I have one in .20 caliber, also have the hw30s deluxe in .177. Enjoy yourselves!

Learned this trick decades ago from an old timer. With two gun cases in hand, kiss the wife goodbye while going to the range. She doesn’t know one is empty. But not for long.

I think the HW50S in .177 is the perfect airgun, so I have two of them.
Try AA 7.87 pellets - my preferred.

Great choice and congrats. My hw50s in .177 is my go to gun for plinking, target shooting and hunting out to 40 yards. My favorite of the HW lineup.

Nice guns. Congrats ITACUD and I’m sure you can’t wait for it to arrive! “After over analyzing...” — me, too! I eventually got a HW30S from Krale myself.

I’ve since eyed the HW50S in .22 for small pests but am not sure it would be worth the purported higher cocking effort (relative to my HW30S). I like easy and light, something to shoot all day.

We’d love to see pictures, and I’d love to hear your thoughts after you’ve had a chance to put your new HW50S through its paces.
