Bought the Avenger. Put a 3-9×40 scope on it, with very low tune. Wow one big hole at 25 yards. These rifles are the real deal for entry level Pcp.
now you need to take your time and find the pellets YOUR gun likes .Pcp's are very accurate, and there is always a slight lottery risk with any barrel. Glad you won, welcome to the club!
I'm glad also. A bad start for pcp mite have changed my mind. Funny thing I'm such a green horn on pcp world, I'm already looking at the top of the line rifles, that's ok I need a new collection right? But right now I'm going to put some lead thru this one!Pcp's are very accurate, and there is always a slight lottery risk with any barrel. Glad you won, welcome to the club!
Yes Sir! That's the fun part. Sending lead down the field. Im sure my break barrels is going to get a rest!now you need to take your time and find the pellets YOUR gun likes .
My first a Gamo Urban, made me feel like you describe above. Your eyes have been open, your wallet to follow…Bought the Avenger. Put a 3-9×40 scope on it, with very low tune. Wow one big hole at 25 yards. These rifles are the real deal for entry level Pcp.
I understand. I sure don't want to go crazy right now with any rifle. I want to walk this out for a while. I have still got to get into disassemble on this one and back together working correct before going any further. Im sure there is a big learning curve on disassemble and reassemble of this type of rifle.Congratulations, Avenger very popular, one of Big Three Chinese-made entry-level PCPs, of JTS Airacuda and Dynamic Air Rifles, only one with external adjustability. Lots of modifications and upgrades available, a hint, don't go crazy with these, you'll never recoup those funds at resale and might regret not saving for a higher end purchase. Best of Luck, WM
Never owned Avenger but several things I'd look into if I ever did. First is picatinny scope rail, some have replaced, not sure why. Second is a DonnyFL shroud end adapter, secures barrel end that OEM doesn't. Last is magazine, factory one is so-so, Hajimoto's version is worth investigating. Just some ideas, WMI understand. I am open for any good suggestions to make this new avenger as good as it can be without getting crazy with the dollars. I was just reading your message about the end. My break barrel rifles will definitely be put on the back burner.Welcome !!!
In regard of buying air rifles, all of us know how it started but none when it will finish !
Cooler air, with some needed rain, moved thru Tampa early morning hours. Sunny, very pleasant, and having replaced backstop boards on 50-yard target yesterday, enjoyed shooting half-dozen PCPs today. This is a great hobby, WMThanks men for the welcome. Its sunny here in east tennessee this afternoon. I'm going to put some lead down field for a while today
I'm still on the side of the pool, thinking seriously about diving in. But, aside from the cost of the gun, there's the scope, compressor, ammo, chrono and probably other things that I haven't even thought of yet. It's a very expensive hobby at the start.Bought the Avenger. Put a 3-9×40 scope on it, with very low tune. Wow one big hole at 25 yards. These rifles are the real deal for entry level Pcp.
Yes you are correct. 331.00 for the avenger. 200.00 for the electric pump. I had the scope, and about 150.00 in numerous 22 pellets. I had all the bench pieces. I do not have a chrono.I'm still on the side of the pool, thinking seriously about diving in.
