I understand. I shot about 20 shots of crosman hollows yesterday and the group was tight enough at 25 yards to take out doves. You will find it likes pretty much all of the pellets. Until you get a chrono I would probably stick with the factory tune and not go much below an 18 gr projectile.
Yeah they might get a little crazy further out as they are probably cooking at the factory tune. The 22 avenger I had loved crosman pellets at 880 to 900.I understand. I shot about 20 shots of crosman hollows yesterday and the group was tight enough at 25 yards to take out doves.
I have it tuned down south. About 1500 on reg. About turn and half on hammer. At 25 yards it is destroyed a 4 by 4. This is going to be a big learning experience for me. I feel like a young man again.Yeah they might get a little crazy further out as they are probably cooking at the factory tune. The 22 avenger I had loved crosman pellets at 880 to 900.
Thanks. I will keep that in mind. I have never owned one. But I have never felt I needed 1 till now. I appreciate all you guys trying to help the old man. I may even get to meet some of you guys one day at a competition. Who knows how far I will go with this new hobby!this works great and matches my more $$ caldwell , small , light weight easy to use , clamps to end of barrel so no worries about shooting it .
This rifle here is really liking crosman pellets also at 25 yards. I have not streched its legs just yetYeah they might get a little crazy further out as they are probably cooking at the factory tune. The 22 avenger I had loved crosman pellets at 880 to 900.
Thanks Ole BuddyCongrats on the new Avenger,
looks like its hitting pretty good so far
more fun to come!
That where i started 25 cal?,lol Is this your 1st pcp? It sounds like your hooked, What pcp is next? lolBought the Avenger. Put a 3-9×40 scope on it, with very low tune. Wow one big hole at 25 yards. These rifles are the real deal for entry level Pcp.
You are correct. You just bought your FIRST pcp rifle... just wait, I hope you have a rope ladder.
Ok. This avenger is the 22 cal. I have some splatter targets on the way, I going to hang in there with this rifle for a while. Try my best to learn all I can. Im going to strech his legs with some different tunes on out to 50 yards when my targets arrive. I know I need a chrono, but I'm going to play old school for a while and just try some things first. You know just good old try and error. I'm in it for the fun factor! That where i started 25 cal?,lol Is this your 1st pcp? It sounds like your hooked, What pcp is next? lol

Beware the Rabbit Hole® you have entered it can lead to many problems, monetary and personal and possibly a never ending chase for perfection.I'm glad also. A bad start for pcp mite have changed my mind. Funny thing I'm such a green horn on pcp world, I'm already looking at the top of the line rifles, that's ok I need a new collection right? But right now I'm going to put some lead thru this one!
Honestly, just print up some targets, way cheaper and you'll be able to see your hits. Just get the chrono, makes things easier, cheaper than cans of pellets and guessing, I use a heavy weight paper in yellow/orange, helps me to see it at a distance with my targets on it. Personally, the FX works fine and is cheap and portable.Ok. This avenger is the 22 cal. I have some splatter targets on the way, I going to hang in there with this rifle for a while.
