its a VEVOR, a knock-off YH....

YH's all will have there name on one side & that black tag is not on the 2 YH's i have.

and yes, put the crankcase vent in where the top plug is.

I bought the same one and it works fine

I called the vendor and they assured me it was a yong heng.

They want to put their own brand on it.

Mine works you have 90 days to return it thru walmart.

Your photo is a bit blurry but your pump is unmistakenly a Yong Heng machine, probably a hardcover model. If it has a wire from the pressure gauge to the loom, it is the auto-stop model. No wire, hard-cover model. Not having a brand name on the side means nothing. It is definitely not a Vevor.

This is definitely a Yong Heng. "Knock offs" always have some difference in appearance but this has NONE. Your Yong Heng has got a spec plate but not the printed name on the case. I believe that's because it's intended for foreign markets. My Yong Heng is purchased directly from Yong Heng in China, it has got no spec plate but a big printed name.

I bet your Yong Heng came with a very detailed manual. You don't expect that for a knock off. Mine came with a much simpler manual in Chinese. In case you haven't got it, a member has posted the manual here : https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/yong-heng-max-temperature/
