Boyds Marauder stock

 does the maroon/pepper work for the mrod? .. it sits better with the other rifles without that 'beech log' my gen1 came with i'd say anyway lol ... so, my experience with the boyds stock -

.. first i dont know if i missed some kindof window, but they didnt have the version of stock i originally wanted so went with what they did have, the thumbhole, and it has no options for an adjustable comb and butt which i wanted, but the price was alot less ... the order went smooth, about 10 days to the door give or take .. and finally i spent about 4 hours with a dremel tape and 80 grit getting the stock to fit right .. luckily the holes were in the right place but it wasnt releived enough for the trigger group or the rear of the tube cap which scared me .. but i was able to get it on without destroying it ... wasnt too pleased i had to 'work' on top of paying for what i thought was gonna be a drop in stock .. but it turned out ok .. im sure my 'modifications' voided any warranty but whatever lol ...thats the skinny

That is a beautiful stock makes the gun look great for sure! It's good to be handy with a Dremel tool.

I did a green one a few yrs back (Gen 2) and it dropped in perfectly. I do like the red but do not recall it being offered at that time—-mine has the adjustable cheek piece.

It's a major look upgrade from the beech stock and worth the time it took to make fit. I like the thumb hole .and the way the laminate colors spiral! You could hypnotize your quarry if you turn it sideways and slightly move it LOL!! Thanks for the post & pictures. A great way to add new color & style to a rifle.
