Just curious on what everybody thinks is a good group size for a break barrel at 20 yards non bench rested? Either off hand, seated, or kneeling. Just wanted to see if I’m on the right track with my shooting
Thanks. Looks like I got some work to do.no reason you cant shoot dime size groups, and that would be on the large size .
Unrested? That would be some pretty good shootin'. Are we talking about a scoped gun, or...?no reason you cant shoot dime size groups, and that would be on the large size .
Me three dime size at 20 yards off hand??? I guess I have to stop drinking coffee I can't get that done at 15 yards with any type of gun/rifle.Me too....
When you squeeze the trigger do not release it until you know you have hit the target...Thanks. Looks like I got some work to do.
I do. I’m grouping at 1.75” right nowWhen you squeeze the trigger do not release it until you know you have hit the target...
Nothing special. Box store gun. Benjamin vaporizer .177, centerpoint scope that came with it and cross 10.5 pelletsYou mentioned seated so in the seated Field Target position with a borrowed (never could manage with anything I've owned) championship winning rig that was flawless, 1/2" at 20 yards. Standing "I" would do much worse.
Did I miss what rifle/pellet/scope?
John
Well that's alright. I'm sure u r using Crossman or Daisy pellets too. I can't hit sh$# standing free-hand.My sense of balance got damaged some years ago. But sitting in my camp chair with the left leg crossed, hand and rifle rested on that knee, I can get 1/2" groups at 25yds BUT that is with Weihrauch brand rifles. Keep working it and enjoying it and when u can step up to a Weihrauch,,LOOK OUT! The Blindman has come out to do some shootin.I do. I’m grouping at 1.75” right now
thats how i do my recycleing"I mostly plink at progresso size soup cans at that distance and they are 3 inches wide. A center shot off hand at that distance I can do three out of five shots, kinda, sorta.
