Brocock/BRK BRK Ghost .22 how many shots

What's your proxy for assuming the valve is open or closed when the pellet exits the barrel?
The telltale that a valve is kept open until complete pellet exit is when gradual increase of hammer spring tension no longer increases velocity at a given regulator set point.

As an example, when tuning my Ghost to shoot at 685 FPS, I’d start at a regulator set point of 50 BAR and start at MIN on the power wheel. At, say, power level 14, the point at which the zenith of velocity has been reached and pellet speed tops out at 670 FPS, I’d very slightly increase pressure by 5 BAR (so that would translate to a plenum pressure of 55 BAR). At that point, attaining the desired 685 FPS is just one upward turn of the power wheel to 15. From there, I turn the wheel one notch up to 16 for good measure. The sound of shots is also distinctive at this point and the shots are extremely consistent.

Of course, all of the above is with a shorter spring installed for the preferred tune.
