BRK Ghost Carbine, first 3 minute impression

The OP first 3 minute impression is harsh. Without providing any images to back up the harsh first impressions of what’s supposed to be a primo PCP? The Ghost has been in the hands of many other shooters, and there are many images and videos of it. I haven’t read any impression so negative as to fit up about any Brocock.Kind of harsh.

do not forget the heavy case. I was also poopting after reading that. Sorry if I came off harsh, but just past experiences from being on forums since dial up internet.

yup they are like that. the fit, finish, the color of the parts matching are chit to say the least for that kind of monies.
I honestly don't get it. I expect perfection when I spend that much $ on a gun. Everyone one should and then these manufactures will quit doing that kind of crap if everyone expects it.

I agree 100%.
I don't expect "prefection" on a $200.00 gun ( or any item ) but by-gally I do expect quality. When I spend $2000.00 on an ( in this case ) air rifle it should be as near perfect as modern engineering and manufacturing is capable of producing. NO EXCEPTIONS.

We understand that “a picture is worth a thousand words”. So to the OP, post up some images of what you’re claiming. Lots of guys jumping in… without seeing proof of what the OP claiming? “Who you gonna call?” Ghost Busters…!

I will have to admit that having dealt with engineers my whole life in every profession I have been in, you need to take what they say with grains of salt, they are a breed that thinks unlike the rest of us most of the time. They may say something is complete POOPTY but to the masses it is fine or above average.
I too wanna see pics of the ghost in question though. While I thought my alpha wolf was incredibly overpriced the fit and finish had me drooling each and every time i looked at it

Yes, show us the photos. The original poster was first asked for photos way back in post #5 of this thread. We have not seen any photos as of yet and now he has gone conspicuously silent.
Is there really a problem? We don’t know. If there is a problem then please show us so we can all avoid making a mistake with our next purchase.

I had the opportunity to inspect, handle, and shoot Franklink’s Ghost during sight in practice at our XFT meet last month. I was impressed with the operation, fit, finish, and solid feel of the gun, it felt very comfortable to shoot. If I hadn’t purchased a Prophet, this Ghost would have been at the top of my list, and I still may try to make that happen at some point.

This whole thread is off. It takes less than 3 minutes to snap some pictures and post them here for all to see...maybe 5 to 10 minutes if you really want to get detailed, capture multiple angles and clean up the photos for better clarity or whatever. But bottom line is that it's not hard to do and for the OP to make such critical claims about the rifle, have a bunch of people chime in on both sides and yet haven't (or won't) provided photographic proof is bunk.
To say that your camera may not be good enough to pick the defects is pretty lame; any modern phone costing more than $250 has a camera that will be more than adequate for the job so until/unless OP posts pics, I'm going to guess that he's complaining just to complain, has some other motives or just has very unrealistic expectations.

There are very few mechanical things that I cannot find fault with, I have learned to be not so critical. I too would love to see some photos as I have a Ghost on order. I could cancel or delay my purchase until any bugs get worked out.

Where are the photos to back up the whine? Perhaps some cheese would be welcome to go with his unfounded, un-photographed whine? I’m seriously wondering if he even has a BRK Ghost?
One thing I will agree with is the use of 50 cent gauges on a $2K gun. C’mon BRK and Daystate, get with the program. FX uses very nice gauges after buyers complained for years…

If really this unhappy with the gun then why not just return it? I would not keep it even if I have to take a restocking fee hit if it is as bad as the thread says it is.

I'm guessing he's making a much, much bigger issue out of this than really exists (if at all). You don't make a thread like this without a bunch of pictures in the original post to show exactly what you're complaining about. I doubt OP will even post any pictures at this point because it's been blown up so much that unless the pics show a rifle broken into multiple pieces or with a barrel that resembles a half circle, photos showing anything less will be anticlimactic and more or less confirm that OP was over-reacting...
