Really enjoying my BRK Ghost in .22 but when the magazine is empty, the cocking arm does not stay locked in the open position. I thought it was supposed to do this. Is it a problem with the magazine or the rifle? Would appreciate any input from members. Thanks!

I just checked both of mine the real effort is opening the bolt which is cocking the gun. Once open the only thing holding it open the only thing that holds it open is the friction of the parts.

Bought it new. It is about four months old. Unless I keep track of shots magazine will continue to cycle after last shot is fired. Just like my Brocock commander. For some reason I thought the side lever was supposed to lock open after mazazine was empty.

Mine does the same thing. It is the mag design. I’ve learned to feel whether the probe is pushing a pellet or not, since I often lose count!
