Mine could have been here saturday but I wasnt going to be home. It arrives monday and I cannot wait. Now I just have to get my sidewheels from scope-werks and I'll be set for a bit.

He's talking about Derrick Wall, @zx10wall.

Derrick is the owner of Tenacious Airguns, in Texas. https://tenaciousairguns.com/. He sells airguns and can be hired for tuning services. Sounds like @kayakman sent his Ghost to Tenacious for a trigger job, etc.

Derrick is also a high level competitor in both high power/long range field target and sub20fpe ft. Derrick and forum owner Michael are the only two to have ever shot perfect scores in a high power long range field target match.

Derrick lent me an AGT Vulcan 3 last winter, he wanted me to shoot it in one of the high power field target events here in AZ. It's the only place that I'm aware of that allows slugs in ft matches. Long story short, that Tenacious-tuned AGT shot the new slug record at the Phoenix Rod and Gun Club high power FT matches. When I mention that the Ghost .20 shooting slugs is one of the two best results I've ever had with slugs....the other was that AGT Vulcan 3 from Derrick.

Thank you yet again. It looks like I'll be adding that to my list for over the winter when the ohio weather slows outdoor shooting done. It will also give me a chance to shoot it for a while to be able to compare the before and after.

Just plastered this big euro.

Got home from night shift and he was sitting on the fence near the back of my property, just about 5 yards shy of the 125yard permanent steel target hanging from the same fence. So 120ish yards.

Home court advantage with this one, didn't need to laser him or consult Strelok. I know 21 clicks is good for 100 yards so I dialed it to 25, educated guess. He was broadside to me and the 32fpe .20 slug went through and through, both wings and his chest. Mighty solid THUWUMP when it hit.

One and done. Man I love a single shot kill like that! I'm not against walking shots in, but it's more satisfying to make the first one count.

I of course blew off two shots in the gunroom prior to the kill shot, those two were just dry fires.

I love my .22 Revere...I was used to shooting an overpowered 177 R9 for 20 years..so when it arrived...and I put a target on a piece of 1" plywood ~35 yards away...a couple shots to zero in the scope....and then pellet on top of pellet.... after shooting the magazine I went up to get the target ...it had punched through the plywood and then dammit the shed door....and my gammo resettable field targets...even at 50 yards it knocks the hole sizing plate off and bends it....so that is one of the reasons for getting the Ghost (177 & 22 barrels), going to set it up at 177 12 ftlb .

You’ll want to get a heavy hammer spring too then as the light spring won’t give you what you’re looking for with the 22 and i just use med rings

I think you're going to have to get into some advanced tuning to get it tamed down to 12fpe.

Somebody here on AGN tuned their Ghost to a VERY low .22. He had to reconfigure the washer stacks in the regulator and I think sourced a lighter hammer spring.

For example, mine, even with the reg set all the way down to 60bar, still shoots the .20/13.73 @ 830fps on MIN on the hammer tension. And I'm using the lighter skeletonized hammer that was only in the first couple Ghosts. Yours will likely have a heavier hammer.

I think you should be able to tune it to 12fpe, just understand that it may not go that low with standard means of adjustment.

Hes getting 177 and 22 barrels and setting 177 to 12 fpe so light spring I didn’t think the 22 would be 12 fpe also ?

All else the same (reg pressure, barrel length, hammer spring tension, hammer weight) a. 22 will shoot faster (more fpe) than the same gun in .177. The .22 has a bigger cross section for the air to push on.

And that's not just the Ghost, but any PCP. I converted a .22 Veteran to .177 (same barrel length) and it needed an entire revolution more of hammer spring tension to put out 20fpe as a .177 then it did as it did as a .22. (Eventually optimized the .177 with a smaller transfer port, but that was after the apples and apples comparison.).

Just trying to be helpful.....wanted to give @tec realistic expectations about probably not being able to turn it down to 12 fpe without non-standard adjustments.

And I could certainly be wrong. The Ghost he receives might be able to go that low in fpe output. I'm basing my thoughts here on what I've seen and read from others. Somebody told me they tried to get to 12fpe with simple adjustments and couldn't, I think it was @pesty3782 but I'm not positive.

Well i never tried to go to 12 fpe with the hp 177 which came stock with the heave spring same as my 25 and that guy you quoted as I remembered he did change the stack on the reg but i thought he just cut the light spring. If i made a mistake I wasn’t trying to screw him up just thought he would want more from the 22 assuming he would get a hp barrel. Perhaps i should have specified that part
