Brocock/BRK BRK Goodness…

Had a short plinking session with my Pathfinder XR in my backyard today wind at 9 mph with gusts to 21 mph. Simply amazed at the hits and near misses on wine corks cut in half. Shooting at 25, 40 and 50 yards. Connecting while holding over and holding off for wind is satisfying. The near misses teach me something, if I can see the pellet crossing the line of sight or the impact point. After that I was watching a little of the movie “Olympus Has Fallen”. Which inspired me to pull out my Atomic with the red dot sight and front monopod. Set up a tombstone shaped target at 25 yards and a tennis ball. And engaged the target action style like in my 3 gun competition days. Tombstone down and hits on the tennis ball from 25 to 40 yards, shots standing and taking a knee. Da friggin Atomic is sweet, but so is the Pathfinder and my Ghost Carbine? Safe Queen at the moment…😈🙈🙏

Wait........a belt.......and suspenders?!?!
Don’t forget the easy access hole..I know completely inappropriate but couldn’t help myself 😂😂😂. To be fair I didn’t start it. That is a nice gun for sure and yes when you judge the wind right it is rewarding. Back on topic.

That hole? Represents the lack of muzzle discipline…🙈
Wait........a belt.......and suspenders?!?!
The pants are two sizes too large, I can only tighten the belt so much before bunching up the front of my pants. That and the cellphone, flashlight, SOG tool, knife, wallet… The weight adds up… Trying to get my money’s worth out of the pants…😈
Luis...how fun! Luv the suspenders 👍
Thanks Randall, tis the season…
Note to self: When my new Brocock shows up, don't wear suspenders......LOL
What is the man supposed to wear an Armani Suit!:ROFLMAO:
I had just come back from making a run to the local dump, hence the natty attire…🙏

Darn it Leon, my wallet hates you 😆
But
My fun factor is all for it!
Ghost, atomic, pathfinder, commander xr, they all rock!
Currently I’ve been shooting a pathfinder prepped and tuned by @zx10wall as a pistol for Hft and EFT, and that thing can shoot.
I may throw a red dot on my atomic for grins.
But but but my ghosts fill a place the atomic, pathfinder and commander can’t.

@cavedweller, my Ghost Carbine will be unleashed, awaiting the proper situation to arise. Don’t foresee my Ghost evolving beyond a benchrest or “overwatch” type of rig. Its simply too heavy for me to “want” to walk around with. The brash Atomics simply are not cowed by the flagship Ghost… Outsized in their capabilities in practical, pesting, plinking and targets use. For me that’s proven to be 50 yards in good conditions. From 50 yards and in? The Atomic is simply ruthless on small pests…🙏 My long winded way of agreeing with you, my trio overlap in use, but the power and distance nod goes to the Ghost…

@WoodWelder , that is some mighty fine shooting on your part…🙏 That is a sweetly setup Sniper…👍
Well, I'm not fully acquainted yet, as all I did was open the box and slap a scope on it. I ran a cleaning patch a few passes and couldn't find a spec of grime. Mirror finish by visual only. I guess match grade barrel is truth!
Side lever is buttery smooth nothing like any other PCP I own.
No ping sound when fired and is reasonably quiet. Note, I only fired on low.
Trigger is very nice and has a clean break. Just a tad heavy for my liking.

This Saturday, I'm going to break out the chrony, test more pellets, adjust the cheek rest and slightly adjust the trigger to break around 1.5 to 2 pounds......My guess, out of the box it breaks around 3 to 3.5ish......Other than that, I can't see the need to tune it or adjust anything major. Pretty much perfect out of the box! I ran out of warehouse length, I can't wait to test at 100M or 150M when the weather warms up.

First impression, I'm over joyed with my purchase! (y)

Tweak that trigger to your liking and - Shazam!

All my BRKs have been “out the box” great shooters… Zero tinkering on my part, like you described above, run a few patches through the barrel. Mount a scope and get to sending pellets… You might consider posting up in a separate thread your impressions on that sweet Sniper XR…🙏
