BRK Pathfinder XR in da house…

Got this little beastie today, just before the holiday weekend. Got home, unboxed it, slapped on my Athlon Helos and proceeded to sight her in at 25 yards. First magazine up JSB Exact Jumbo 18s. Four shots to sight her in and dumped the next seven into that first group. Then shot the two CPHPs groups, the first three groups were with the TP on high, the last CPHP group with TP on mid. Then proceeded to hit back to back those pictured husks at 50 yards… This is straight from the box, the trigger is still very stiff and needs lightening and will loosen up over time. Bipod front, fist rear, this little PCP is thrilling me, it handles much lighter than it looks. More to come.

Congrats Luis. It looks like you scored yet another awesome BRK shooter. The fore stock sure looks vaguely familiar too.
Yes it does, reminiscent of my Bantam and it is a direct descendant of the Commander XR. That said, it will not be replacing the Atomic XR as my primary…

I would be interested to see some chronograph numbers with the 18gr. I am wondering if the gun is capable of close to 30fpe with a reg and hammer spring adjustment. Accuracy looks very promising.

These are the numbers sending JSB Exact Jumbo 18s as received from AOA.

max: 793 / min: 780 / spread: 13 / avg: 784 / standard deviation: 4. Just under 25 fpe, so I guess your numbers are achievable. Reach out to AOA for a definitive answer.

I will run my own numbers at some future point, but will simply run the gun “as is” for a while.

Luis - congrats on a great purchase. I've been loving my 177 Pathfinder for a few months now.

I'm glad you commented on the trigger as I felt that way as well when I first got it. There are no adjustment screws but I did some work on mine which made it much nicer to use. If you remove the stock you'll see the trigger and sear are held in with a few pins that slide out easily. I trimmed about 1 - 1.5 coils off each of the 2 springs and polished the two sear edges as they are two anodized edges making contact. This helped a lot. The spring trimming really lightened the weight from the trigger and the polishing eased the tension to break the sear.

I had the pleasure not to long ago seeing the pathfinder in person.. pictures do not do it justice. Looks much much better in person. Congrats on your new shooter
It really is a solid little rig, now I want a smaller optic, just have to figure out which one, but definitely smaller than the Helos atop it now.

They need to be paying you royalties for every atomic or pathfinder sold. You sure do get the message out there about how great they are. You want to start a passaround so that others can get a taste of the good life? Try it for a week and pass it along to the next person on the list.
The guns speak for themselves, there are many satisfied BRK Brocock owners out here. They simply perform “right out the box”.
