Brocock Atomic XR 5 shot groups

First: I'll leave the 25 and 50 yard shooting to Louis. He does very well with cheap pellets and walnuts. I'm an indoor shooter at heart. With that said, here is my latest target sheet with 5 shot groups with expensive JSB pellets The bottom left target is just one shot to show where my first shot placement was, typically. After 45 shots my hand hold suffered as did my eye. But this is good practice for hand hold and shot placement, especially when it's still snowy and windy outdoors.

I shoot from rested position for these groups. I have a home made rest and a stool. Oh, yeah, I use only the pistol setup. Have not tried the stock - it would get in my way.

Yes pistol. I don't know if, or when, I would add the stock as it gets in my way with my style shooting.

Thought I'd add to this post that my shooting is entirely bench rest. I have many years with powder burners back to the 1960s and M16 days. Up until recently I shot National Match pistol both indoors and out. So the only interesting air guns to me are very accurate guns. I shot these groups at 20 yards with my new RAW HM1000X this last Saturday indoors. 20 yards rested:

@rsfrid, I bet if you put the stock on the Atomic XR and shot it as a carbine, using those JSB at 20 yards you'll give your RAW a run for the money... Just saying...

Cool, as soon as I can I’ll shoot some 20 yard indoor groups and try and match those .129 / .145 groups. Pretty sure that the Atomic in carbine form is capable of the same accuracy at the same 20 yard range. The weak link will be me. I will post up when I achieve it. Then I’ll post up some of my own emojis

The following two groups were from my initial sight in, outdoors, bipod front, fist rear. I’ve yet to buckle down to shoot the Atomic XR for groups. Conditions have not been right.

For what it's worth, I single shot load both the RAW and the Atomic. I have a Rowan Engineering single shot loader on the Atomic:

That helps with the accuracy. Magazine loaded rounds are mostly a crap shoot on how they enter the chamber.

Very nice single loaders... What I also like about the Brococks is that I can easily thumb in a pellet as the mag opening is generous. I've used the SST that comes with, but find it easier to simply insert the pellet into the breach.
