Brocock Compatto

So, went for a dance in the devil’s ballroom today. Stopped off at the air gun shop to put the final nails in the coffin of my heavy slug project with my Panthera.
Was standing around shooting the breeze by the used gun rack and looked down and saw a svelte little PCP and had to pick it up. Dang!! Well balanced, light and handled very well and was easy to hold steady offhand. Hmmmmmm? Looked at the tag. Brocock Compatto in 177.
I have been tinkering with the idea of a small carbine style .177 and this little thing got my attention.
Anything anyone wants to share about it is welcome. Yeah I know it is a large diversion from my stable of FX’s but also have been thinking about adding some other breeds to the herd and this little carbine has my attention.
Are the regulated?
Looks to be a good candidate for a hand pump up camping. Can leave the bottles at home.
I assume with Brocock accuracy is a given.
How is the trigger on these? Once again, I assume Brocock would provide a good trigger.

I used to own a pre XR Compatto in .22, the attributes you described, plus its accuracy and reliability, sold me on the brand. I killed hundreds of starlings and rats with mine. It led me to the Bantam Sniper HR and presently to my two Atomic XRs. All of mine have been reliable and dependable field guns. I shoot my Atomic XR from 25-64 yards almost everyday, at objects no bigger than a chipmunks head. The accuracy never gets old. @Ranchibi, used to own one in .177 reach out to him. He helped push me over the edge on my Compatto. Love the brand because for me they simply perform without fanfare.

I have an original and set it up for FT. One of the first ones off the daystate line when they merged. All the daystate engineering for the brocock price. ;)
Only thing I had to complain about it is the adjustable TP says low, medium, and high but really is just low and high. Doesn't really matter to me since POI is still the same inside 30yds. At one point, I think AOA were correcting that issue. I just never sent mine in. I took it out after not shooting it for a long time, as in a couple of years, and now the fill port is frozen. A drop of silicone and a couple of fills will fix that. Extra mags were $90/piece when I ordered them. It came with a Huggett attached and all you can hear is the hammer strike.
Not a fan of bullpups, but the semipup frame is nice. Hope this hurts your wallet:ROFLMAO:.

Btw, longest shot on a squirrel was 60yds and not a twitch. 10.3gr AA@1015fps. Hawke Airmax 6-24X52.
