Brocock/BRK Brocock magazine issues

Have a new .177 magazine for an Atomic XR that sticks pretty bad. It hangs on the last few shots (won't always cycle through). Moving it by hand, you can feel it is a little grindy when first rotating. Has anyone taken these apart? There's a hex screw in the center that I would assume is for disassembly, but it's pretty tight, might be loc-tited, and I don't want to force it or use heat if there's potential for damage, as I am not sure if there are any o-rings in there. I don't want to send it back if it is an easy fix.

Had one apart recently for an issue and mine had generous lubricant within. There is blue loctite on those, but no big deal... just go slow when opening.due to any spring tension. There is a spring within that has a 90* bend on each side which slots into tiny holes on the opposite ends of the magazine…if you open up the cover you can see one of the tiny holes and a little bit of silver metal on the wheel, this is one end of the spring. When done you will apply spring tension by twisting the magazine wheel and making sure a plastic bit rides over a nub on the magazine.… but I am a visual guy and below is a YouTube link that will give you a better idea.
