Brocock Pistol/Carbine Combo Project

After seeing the AEAC video on the Brocock Grand Prix pistol, I had to have one. After shooting it and seeing how accurate it was, I went a little crazy.

What you see below is a one-of-a-kind Brocock Grand Prix Elite S6 pistol/carbine combo. My goal was to build a gun that was light enough and quiet enough for my ten year old daughter to shoot. Also, she needed a shorter trigger pull length - so I settled on mounting a lightweight, adjustable AR stock. The resulting gun — a convertible pistol/carbine just also happens to look tactical and cool.

I am pretty proficient with the SolidWorks CAD package, so I designed a new endcap that adapts an AR tube to the pistol. Jim Gaska at wickedairrifles.com made the dream a reality by fabricating the piece for me out of aluminum and anodized it black.

The final gun in carbine form weighs just 5.5 pounds with scope and silencer. I paired it with an MTC Viper Connect, continuing the English theme, and to keep it light and high quality. The gun is setup right now for 12 ft lbs in .22 and it shoots groups about the size of a nickel at 30 yards. It runs 3 magazines between fills.

With the Weihrauch silencer installed, it literally makes a noise no louder than the thump of its hammer — its crazy quiet. I have not used the Huggett or DonnyFL silencers, but seriously if you could see how well this Weihrauch works you would be amazed. I had to order it from Germany, but I thought the Weihrauch really made the gun look special.

To convert the carbine back to a pistol, just remove the stock (1 screw), and remove one cap screw behind the hammer to change the endcap from carbine to pistol or vice versa.

I have had the gun a little less than a year now, and I am moving on to a new challenge — building an FX Crown with the same configuration. (Yes, I am going to modify one of those beautiful FX walnuts stocks). Before I part with this gun, I wanted to put a post out here to show what could be done with a little creativity.

Above, I have attached a picture of the regular endcap versus the endcap I created with the attached AR stock. For those interested, I am happy to share the design file for the endcap adapter. Jim can make you one as well. All I did was send him my endcap as an example and the design. He is super easy to work with.
